This was a very informative and stimulating presentation by James, presenting a novel neuroscientific perspective on the interpretation of the visionary experience, but one that allows for the retention of the felt quality of the experiences as being something spiritual and related to mechanisms of a putative collective species unconscious, rather than purely reductionistic!

Excellent talk! James gave a well-structured, well-researched, and balanced talk. And I appreciated that he named his biases. Amir also was also an excellent moderator, keeping it flowing to the very end. Glad I joined.
