It's always a pleasure to be offered a safe and welcoming space. This is precisely what the EDB Sundays do. Much gratitude.

Wonderful, lovely safe atmosphere, the kids didn't bother me as such, but it did leave me questioning to what extent it detracts from the experience of the adults. Well done. Looking forward to attending the next.

Lara Herbolzheimer on EDB presents: a two part series w/ Roça de Ogum (Umbanda group from Brazil) | Part 1: Ecstatic Dance in the Force of Orixá | Mon 10th Oct 2022, 12:52pm | |
I was really impressed by the event. The drumming workshop was easy to follow, fun and we were able to actually drum in unison. I loved how the ladies presented it to us. Then having the ecstatic dance to follow was a lovely combination. I really was ready for some dance after the drumming! The music was inspiring and also fitted in with the theme of the evening. I felt very safe and held and able to express myself as i needed throughout the evening. Stevie held the space beautifully and finished the evening with a meditation and hum which was magical. It was a magical evening. THEN part two for the ceremony was even more magical. I felt so privileged to be attending such an important ritual, in ancestral healing. Again, Sonya and her team were so inspiring, and playful and brought such wisdom. It was a very therapeutic experience for me and am so grateful that it was held. Again, held beautifully and felt completely safe. I felt honoured to be there. It was a group of lovely people. THANK YOU! I encourage similar events and more ecstatic dancing and will be trying to join in Bristol Ecstatic Dance when ever i can! We need more healing dance in our lives, thanks for providing the opportunity to do so! Lara

The event was very well organised. Stevie, the organiser, was so accommodating, friendly and had a beautiful aura around him. The event started and finished on time, a great atmosphere was created and enjoyed by all 🙏

Straight up excellent event. Really appreciated the learning style with oratory sharing and also visual/cinematic explanations. Wonderful music, altar, flow, and offering of this sacred tradition, and it felt like real honouring and education around the lineage and history. Loved the games interspersed with the Gira.
