Moonlight Poetic

The Mission

is to use words to connect with life's magic, and pass it forwards. I chose the name “Moonlight Poetic” because I perceive good writing to have the effect of casting light onto shadows - giving a communal articulation  for the complexity of internal experience. Moonlighting also refers to a “side hustle"; I like the idea that life's poetry emerges in the side hours, around the busy-ness of life. Rather than connoting a lifestyle of seclusion, this iterates how poetry emerges from the process of being engaged with  the day-to-day, and finding within it that which is remarkable.

The Offering

is support for writers and writing-curious people, to partake in 1:1 and group spaces which stimulate, nurture and evolve one's own voice. I have previously delivered workshops at charities including The Pret Foundation and Freedom From Torture, and for community groups in London. I have enhanced my practice through studying a PGCert in Teaching Creative Writing at the University of Cambridge, in which I graduated with a distinction and the highest grade in my cohort.  I am passionate about the growth that can come through writing and committed to supporting others to finding meaning and joy in the act of creative self-expression. I  also offer copywriting services and personalised poetry (including bespoke artwork for businesses). 

The Time

is now… We live in an era of monumental transition, and of widening extremes - politically, environmentally, energetically (if you want to get a bit woo woo). Creative writing a personal pillar of consistency, a safe space in an unpredictable climate. Not only this, but it is an invaluable means of strengthening connections with the wisdom, imagination. and intuition that will be essential components of any viable route forwards. I am building my project from the ground up and excited for every step of the journey. Will you join me?
