Hi there,

What is your relationship with the natural world?

Nature connection is such an important part of our work at True Nature because in order to be our true selves as humans we have to remember that we are part of nature.

Ecological awakening is a core part of our approach to wholeness and is the process by which someone awakens to their belonging and entanglement with the more-than-human world.

This is because we believe that dismantling patriarchal conditioning is also reweaving out interdependence and connection, not just with each other but the earth. True self care is earth care.

In order to awaken and remember this deep relationship with the natural world - on a deep intuitive level, not just on an intellectual level - then we have to disconnect from the noise of modern society and let ourselves sink into the possibility that the Earth can hold all of us.

The Wild Womans Camp Out is a space for just that - a deep nature immersion to unwind, slow down and tune into the nourishment that comes from experiencing yourself as part of nature.

This is a new yet ancient invitation to shake free from the shackles of society, to step into the unknown and the restorative power of the natural world and gather as women have done - under the full moon, by babbling brooks and around crackling fires - as you awaken your four legged furry or feathered self.

The event runs 2nd - 5th of June with people being able to leave late Sunday evening or stay on for the night. Follow the link here for further information and to book tickets. Earlybird tickets close on April 30th so if your thinking about it and want to join us, book now to avoid disappointment.

Weekend Highlights

Full Moon Sit Out

A time to lean into our hopes, dreams, visions and fears around our relationship with the natural world. Expect time alone under the full moon with the support and care from a potent sisterhood of women finishing around the warmth of the fire.

Wild Swimming

We will visit the Mardle river (Mama Mardle as some call her) and explore her waterfalls, crevices and pools letting ourselves be cleansed by her chilly Dartmoor waters.

Deep Nature Connection

Expect invitations and practices that help you move into deeper connection with the meadows, trees, granite rocks of Dartmoor, opening yourself up to encounters with the natural world as you let your animal body awaken.

Embodiment & Play

A key part of any True Nature offering, expect to be rooted into the wisdom of your body and connecting with your authentic self expression through play and connection games.

Sharing circles

Expect to be held throughout the weekend by a supportive sisterhood as we gather to share from our hearts and minds, witnessing and listening to each other.

The Location

We are so incredibly lucky to have access to the most epic piece of land in the depths of Dartmoor including bluebell woodland and meadows with only a short walk to a nearby tor and open moorland.

The land we will be gathering on is being rewilding by those who look after it and has some incredible biodiversity as well as some vulnerable habitats.

This immersion is designed to leave behind the mod cons of modern society so there are very limited amenities and participants will be camping (own kit needed) - but this is a great way to very quickly become intimate with the natural world and we welcome you to lean into this if it's a new experience for you.

More information will be provided on purchasing tickets but do send Alana an email if you have any questions on alana@truenature.org.uk.
