Hi there,
It's Faye here,
Last week I was driving in the car with my kids on our way to pick pumpkins for carving whilst my Wild Woman Playlist was playing on the speakers. My eldest daughter, who has recently started secondary school, asked why I can't listen to the radio like ‘normal’ mums.
Her comment stung for a moment and I was tempted to let the familiar swampy feelings of not feeling good enough take over…not a good enough mother, not a good enough person…not a good enough anything.
Instead, I turned to her and said:
“Because I don't want to be a normal and average mum. I want my life to be WILD and WITCHY and WONDROUS.
Plus, there is no such thing as normal anyway. I've wasted too much of my life trying to be it and I don't want you to waste any of your life trying to be something that doesn't exist.”
She rolled her eyes and went quiet, but then the next song that came on was AURORA - Running With The Wolves (video below). When I took my eyes off the road for a moment to look at her, she was singing along and howling to the words with me and the other kids.
Watching her made me more determined not to settle for ‘normal’. It also made me feel so grateful to be part of the True Nature community of women who are embracing their most wild and authentic selves.
I sat there wondering, ‘what is needed to magically transform myself and the whole world into our wildest self?’
What would you need to magically transform?
Email me and let me know, I'd love to hear from you.
One of the ways I'm dreaming into this at the moment is an online community of sisters who celebrate and accelerate each others wildness. I'm currently talking with Gaia and Alana about how we could create this magical space within True Nature.
In the meantime, enjoy the song below and remember your wild self.
Sending love and light,
Faye x
