Hi there,

This month brings four key opportunities that could reshape how you engage with the conscious community: we're hiring Community & Connection Leads across the UK to build grassroots gatherings, seeking a website developer to refresh our digital presence, summer solstice is calling us to  one of the year's most magical festivals,  and we've launched our new Psychedelic Society store where you can help spread the word about the movement and a special discount from our friends at MycoPunks so you can grow your own mushrooms.

This isn't our usual events newsletter - these are announcements about stepping deeper into the work and a chance to help weave the conscious culture we're all building together.

Plus, we pause to honor Amanda Feilding, the psychedelic pioneer whose recent passing reminds us how an individual vision really can become collective transformation.

The work continues. Here's how you can be part of it.

We're hiring: Community & Connection Leads in UK

Want to grow the conscious tribe in your area? We’re looking for a charismatic, organised, and creative Community & Connection Events Leads to plan, promote, and host community events in your area as part of our growing national events program.

This is a unique opportunity to build meaningful, in-person community spaces centred around psychedelic culture, altered states, nature connection, and personal growth. You will help us expand our Community Pillar, delivering events such as:

Contract Type: Freelance / Hours: Approx. 8–20 hours per month / Rate: £15/hour

You’ll be promoting and delivering at least two community events per month, with plenty of structure and support. If you’re passionate about building grassroots communities and holding space for connection and transformation — this role is for you!

Amanda Feilding, the First Lady of LSD (1943-2025)

Amanda Feilding, a true pioneer in the psychedelic field, passed away at her home, Beckley Park, last Thursday evening (more precisely, and rather magically, at 20:25 22.05.2025). Amanda Feilding was never content with the ordinary boundaries of human experience. In an era when psychedelic research had been driven underground, she emerged as both scientist and mystic, aristocrat and rebel, bringing rigorous academic inquiry to the exploration of consciousness while never losing sight of the profound spiritual dimensions of her work.

Through the Beckley Foundation, which she founded in 1998, Amanda transformed what many dismissed as fringe science into a respected field of medical research and Fielding herself co-authored over 50 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. Her collaborations with leading neuroscientists and institutions worldwide helped legitimise psychedelic research and paved the way for the therapeutic breakthroughs we see today.

Her willingness to be her own research subject - from her famous act of self-trepanation in 1970 to decades of careful psychedelic microdosing - demonstrated an uncommon dedication to understanding consciousness from the inside out. Fundamentally, she believed that consciousness research required both courage and direct experience (The Guardian named her among the ‘Bravest Men and Women in the History of Science’).

The psychedelic movement we witness today stands on foundations that Amanda helped build. In indigenous traditions, it's believed that the ancestors continue to guide and support the work of the living. Amanda's influence on psychedelic research and policy will ripple forward for generations, touching lives she never met, healing wounds she never saw, and opening minds to possibilities she helped make real. The consciousness revolution continues, carried forward by all those who dare to explore the furthest reaches of human potential.
