Hi there,

As recently as 30 years ago you might have been ridiculed for studying consciousness. Never mind meditation and awakening.

When Nobel prize-winning physicist Brian Josephson presented his ideas linking meditation and superconductivity, the meeting ended in uproar. “‘Nothing forces us to listen to your wild speculations,” one attendee shouted.

But times change.

Neuroscience is now seriously investigating the mysteries of mind and meditation. Remarkably, the findings not only validate the phenomenology of spiritual awakening, they provide a new map with which to navigate it.

Shamil Chandaria, –affiliated with Oxford, Cambridge & Imperial College– is leading a four-week course on this research and how to apply it. This promises to be intellectually stimulating, experiential and practical: how to apply the neuroscience of perception to meditation & human flourishing. An introductory talk on the 26th of June will give a preview; the course begins 10th of July.

Also this month, James Cooke, (Oxford) is back offering workshops on the boundless nature of awareness. His London talk in February (now on youtube) grounds his approach in science and personal experience. You can join his workshops on Sat 28th or Sun 29th of June.

Other opportunities to connect, inspire and expand are offered below.

I look forward to seeing you there!
