Hi there,
Last week I spoke with Andreas about how to grieve regeneratively, and discover wisdom greater even than saintliness.
You can catch a short excerpt here - In the Norse tradition, even the gods had to learn to grieve.
I found this discussion both supportive and soulful. If you listen to the full recording, I would love to hear your reflections:
Becoming the dragon
It follows on from our previous conversation, in which grief is one of the stages in the journey into the underworld.
This soul journey is represented by the serpent and its ability to shed skin through grief, depression and wounding. The spirit journey is represented by the eagle - soaring above into clarity, insight and enlightenment.
The ultimate synthesis is to alchemise these two paths, and become a serpent with wings. To become a dragon. Breathing fire, flying through air, walking on earth and swimming through water. Able to encompass every aspect of the human experience, from the most desperate to the most divine.
This perspective has inspired many of our recent events, aiming at an embodied awakening that doesn't deny any aspect of experience.
I hope you can join one of them, and I look forward to hearing from you either way!
Amir
