Hi there,
Picture someone an hour into a journey. They've stopped crying. Now they're desperately trying to describe the vast and wordless space that just cracked open in them - and you have no idea what to do with it.
That moment is the whole job. And almost nobody is trained for all of it.
A psychedelic experience can swing from panic to grief to the mystical to the bodily in a single afternoon. A clinician might freeze when things turn spiritual. A spiritually fluent guide might miss a medical red flag.None of them are bad at their work - they've just reached the edge of their one lens.
We've always believed the wisdom lives in the exchange: between researchers, traditional knowledge-holders, and people who've actually done the work. Good practice isn't one tradition handed down. It's a conversation across many.
So we're hosting one.
The Ecology of Psychedelic Practice is a free, 3-hour live workshop working through real cases across preparation, the session itself, and integration with the Synthesis Institute. We'll dig into things like:
- How to tell when someone's ready - and when they're not
- Staying steady yourself when someone's in panic, grief, or ego dissolution
- Holding consent as a living process, not a form signed once
- Supporting someone's meaning-making without quietly steering it
👉 You can also get $700 off The Synthesis Institute's Psychedelic Practitioner Core Training, with code: PPCTPSYCHSOCIETY
Free. Online. Exactly the conversation we think this work needs more of.
