On the one hand I love Bernardo's clarity and incisiveness and his ability to communicate his perspective to psychologists etc, on the other hand given my own background as a bUddhist Monk, I think he is misguided when he speaks about dissociation and doesn't recognise how egos develop by putting on various lenses, which are part and parcel of development, and can be discerned - seen through - as in the Heart sutra final admonition : 'in the absence of thought pictures he has not been made to tremble'. I also wonder about transference in the group of intellectually able students who do not seem to see how much their very intellectuality gets in the way. Oh for some sensing into the body, oh for some knowledge of the works of A.H.Almaas .. Bruce
