Renewal and Harmony - A day of singing for women +

Reconnect with your voice in a calm and nurturing space.

You are invited to a day of restorative, heart-opening harmony singing and sounding with Anna Ling. In this workshop, we will drop into relationship with our own voices before discovering each other in harmony. We will touch on vocal anatomy, both intellectually and somatically, alongside techniques to soften, release, and support our voices. This day is about slowing down and experiencing how singing can be a tool for deep relaxation, renewal, and connection.

You’ll go home with a few new songs from this land and beyond, as well as a deeper understanding of the voice—its physical mechanics and its emotional/energetic power. Through gentle vocal exercises and soothing group harmony, you'll cultivate a sense of community and leave feeling rejuvenated, with a renewed connection to your voice and those around you.

What you’ll experience:

• Techniques to soften, release tension, and support your voice with ease.
• Insight into vocal anatomy, helping you sing comfortably and confidently.
• Heart-opening harmony singing.
• A safe space to gently explore vocal improvisation.

You don’t need to have any previous singing experience—come as you are. Please bring your own lunch, and you’re welcome to bring goodies to share. I’ll provide teas and biscuits to create a cozy, supportive environment.

This is a space for women (trans women are welcome) and non-binary folk cultured as women.

All levels welcome. No prior experience necessary.

Meet your facilitator 

Anna Ling's creative work life and meaning making is embedded in a love of drawing people together around song. This passion has led her creative work-life, through community choirs and the many venues, festivals and campfires she frequently sings around. She currently runs Dartsong Chorus and JamJar Choir in Totnes, and runs workshops with Voice Camp, Shambala, WOMAD, Embercombe among others.  You can read more about her HERE.
