Our weekly dance, prayer, practice & ritual. Every Sunday!

Uniting the worlds of free-form movement, diverse dance music and sound system culture, we create a safe, held and sacred space for you move, dance, release and express. 

We hold a safe space for you to express your uniqueness, come into balance with the full spectrum of yourself, and to rejuvenate and empower yourself, through movement, dance and sound.

The experience is a modern day ritual where the communion of people, movement and sound serve as mediums for transformation, liberation and soul invigorating celebration.

These sessions are sober and are suitable for all ages, all abilities and all people. Everyone is welcome.

Father, DJ & Artist | Founder & Community Leader of EDB / ECSTATIC DANCE BRISTOL

Having an affinity with music from childhood & DJing from the age of 16, OSARA has an incredible, eclectic & deep knowledge of music. Honouring the rich musical heritage of the WISE isles; & the rich diversity of music that can be found around the world, OSARA creates deep, powerful & transformative dance journeys full of heart, body & soul. His dance journeys are ever evolving, responding to the spirit of time, community & place.

Pushing the musical boundaries of the conscious dance scene on these lands and receiving deep inspiration from a broad spectrum of Rave styles, Global Bass and Underground Dance Music culture, you never know what to expect from the dance journey wizard OSARA. 

OSARA has DJ’d and facilitated at Ecstatic Dances such as: Los Angeles, London, Helsinki and Dallas to name a few. He's a popular and resident DJ for the likes of Ecstatic Dance UK (London), Ecstatic Dance Bristol, Buddhafield, LoveJam as well as other festivals and events.

We have been working with the Bristol legends, AMBER AUDIO, ever since we first launched EDB in February 2019. They provide the highest quality audio equipment and sound design using one of the top manufacturers in the industry, d&b audiotechnik, for the likes of Glastonbury, Boomtown, Love Saves The Day, Strange Brew, to name a few.

Please walk, cycle, Voi, use public transport or lift share where possible.

There is free parking on site.

WHAT TO BRING

- your own water bottle
- dress in layers
- ear plugs if you need them - the sound system can get loud at times
- something to lie down on for the Sound Bath (blanket, yoga mat or similar)
- anything else you need

ECSTATIC DANCE GUIDELINES

Ecstatic Dance is self-expression through free-form dance and movement. It’s an embodiment practice which brings awareness to and connects together heart, mind, body and soul; authentically connecting with your whole self and authentically connecting with others.

Our events are family friendly. All people and all abilities are welcome. 

We use the following guidelines to create a safe and held space for you to express the full spectrum of yourself, to express your uniqueness and to experience rejuvenation through movement, dance and sound:

- be here: no shoes
- be free: dance how you want / no judgement
- be present: no phones / cameras
- be clear: no drugs or alcohol
- be embodied: no talking
- be consensual: respect personal space & boundaries of self & others

£17 Pay-it-Forward (+50p bf)

This scheme allows people who are financially comfortable, to pay towards the ticket of a dancer who is not so financially abundant.

£12 Concession (+50p bf)

Limited tickets part funded by our 'Pay-It-Forward' scheme. Please only choose this ticket type if you really need it.

£17.50 On The Door (cash or card)

Teens £4.50 (+50p bf) / £5 On The Door

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult 

Under 12s free

PLEASE NOTE

If you've purchased a ticket, the transaction has gone through and you haven't received a confirmation email, then please email OSARA. Alternatively, you can simply turn up and give your name on the door as we have the list of everyone who has bought a ticket.

REFUNDS & TRANSFERS

We don't offer refunds, so you can either sell your ticket via the BRISTOL MUSIC, DANCE & SOUND community group on Signal (please email OSARA for the link) OR using and sharing the link on our Facebook event page OR you can transfer your ticket to a future event if you notify us up to 48 hours before the event

As a participant at our sessions, please take responsibility for yourself, your belongings and your wellbeing.

You are invited to show up as you are and move whatever is alive within you. The full spectrum of yourself. It’s all welcome on the dance floor.
