Yay! Our Sunday sessions are now indoors! SUPER, ULTRA, MEGA! 

Uniting the worlds of free-form movement, diverse dance music and sound system culture, we create a safe, held and sacred space for you to come into balance, to express your uniqueness, and to rejuvenate and empower yourself, through movement, dance and sound.

The experience is a modern day ritual where the communion of people, movement and sound serve as mediums for transformation, liberation and soul invigorating celebration. These sessions are sober and are suitable for all ages, all abilities and all people. Everyone is welcome. 

This is our practice. Our dance. Our prayer. Our ceremony. Our ritual.

SUN 31 OCT | GAIA DRAGONFLY | Awakening the Wild Woman / Witch Clown

Fresh from co-producing and facilitating another Awakening the Wild Woman retreat on the land in Devon AND holding space with WITCH CLOWN at the EDB RAVE RITUAL on Friday, GAIA DRAGONFLY returns to grace us with her powerful and playful presence. As an Ecstatic Dance DJ, ceremony leader and facilitator, she brings ritual magic and sacred silliness to the dance floor with playful panache. Her work is playful, deep and courageous. Her mission is to connect humans to their primal nature to live a richer and freer life.

She founded the Psychedelic Women’s Circle in May 2017. Since then she has developed a number of popular workshops including Rave Ritual, Slow Dating, Window to the Soul and Awakening the Wild Woman. 

She joined the Psychedelic Society in 2017 and has been instrumental in developing the events programme and community alongside an incredible team of collaborators.

MICRO RAVE SOUNDSYSTEM

The amazing legend Laurie French is supplying his MICRO RAVE sound system and it comes with plenty of Bass. Used at festivals like Glastonbury, Shambala, Boomtown, Secret Garden Party and others.

Ask for directions to the Dance Studio at reception. Please walk around the building. The Dance Studio is located at the rear.

Please walk, cycle, Voi, use public transport or lift share where possible.

WHAT TO BRING

- your own water bottle
- dress in layers
- ear plugs if you need them - the sound system can get loud at times
- something to lie down on for the Sound Bath (blanket, yoga mat or similar)
- anything else you need

ECSTATIC DANCE GUIDELINES

Ecstatic Dance is self-expression through free-form dance and movement. It’s an embodiment practice which brings awareness to and connects together heart, mind, body and soul; authentically connecting with your whole self and authentically connecting with others.

Our events are family friendly. All people and all abilities are welcome. 

We use the following guidelines to create a safe and held space for you to express the full spectrum of yourself, to express your uniqueness and to experience rejuvenation through movement, dance and sound:

- be here: no shoes
- be free: dance how you want / no judgement
- be present: no phones / cameras
- be clear: no drugs or alcohol
- be embodied: no talking
- be consensual: respect personal space & boundaries of self & others

This scheme allows people who are financially comfortable, to pay towards the ticket of a dancer who is not so financially abundant.

PLEASE NOTE

If you've purchased a ticket, the transaction has gone through and you haven't received a confirmation email, then please email OSARA. Alternatively, you can simply turn up and give your name on the door as we have the list of everyone who has bought a ticket.

REFUNDS & TRANSFERS

We don't offer refunds, so you can either sell your ticket via the BRISTOL MUSIC, DANCE & SOUND community group on Signal (please email OSARA for the link) OR using ticketswap.uk and sharing the link on our Facebook event page OR you can transfer your ticket to a future event if you notify us up to 48 hours before the event.
