Bank Holiday Monday 25th August - Cacao, Connection + Ecstatic Dance

✬ This Bank Holiday Monday join us for a special extended version as we once again gather in the beautiful Peak District amongst the plants and trees, the birds and the beasts! ✬

What to Expect:

✬ Altar Creation - We'll build a natural altar together with found objects. You are also welcome to bring anything personal to place on the altar.

✬ Standing Yoga Asanas – A short, grounding sequence of accessible, standing postures to awaken and open the body.

✬ Cacao Circle – We’ll open the space with a heart-activating cacao ritual, inviting presence, intention, and gratitude.

✬ Connection Practices – Journalling and guided partner and group exercises to foster authentic presence, playfulness, and deep connection.

✬ Sound + Voice Play – Guided vocal activities and sounding exercises to gently open and balance your energy centers. You don’t need to “sing” — we’ll simply explore sound together in a fun, supportive way that feels natural and freeing.

✬ Ecstatic Dance – A liberating, non-verbal dance journey, allowing you to express and release through movement.

✬ Closing Circle – We'll end with a supportive space to share reflections, integrate insights, and seal the energy of our journey together.

✬ There's something so primal, sensual and organic about dancing outside, and the enchanted silver birches of Lawrencefield are such a magical location! If you haven't tried it yet, give it a go! ✬ I provide the cacao, headsets and the music ✬ All you need is yourself, a cup for cacao, lots of layers of clothing (you might get really warm while dancing but quite chilly afterwards), something to drink and a waterproof mat to sit/put your stuff on ✬

✬ Logistics: Meet at the back of Surprise View carpark near Hathersage at **10.00am** and we'll walk down to the woods together. If you need a lift, let me know... if you can offer a lift, please let me know ✬ We will leave the carpark at 10.15 promptly, so please make sure you arrive with time to park and pay ✬ I set up a WhatsApp group for each dance to help with logistics/lift shares etc. ✬ The link will be on your confirmation email - please join if you can! ✬

 ✬ We dance to an eclectic mix of world beats and genres ✬ You're free to move how and as you like; no judgement and no expectations ✬ No previous experience necessary, everyone is welcome ✬ Cacao is optional, you can drink tea instead if it's not your thing! ✬

✬ Please book in advance as there are limited spaces ✬ If you can no longer make it, please let me know so that someone on the waitlist can take your place ✬

✬ Some guidelines for our time together:
- Be present: please keep phones off/airplane mode (this is also really important so the headsets work properly)
- Non-verbal space: communicate with movement instead of words
- No drugs/alcohol/other plant medicines: clear mind to embrace mindfulness and to honour the space
- Respect others: respect other's space and freedom of expression
- Be free: dance how you want; non-judgemental space
