1. VALUES
COMMUNITY
We are a gathering of individuals united in our desire to love and be loved. Together we can create the world we want to live in. A world of compassion and authenticity where we live alongside one another
CO-CREATION
Together we are stronger. We want your unique light to shine into the space so we can share and witness the divine within us all. This is your festival too.
BE HERE NOW
The present moment is all that exists. Make the most of it. Live in your truth and have no regrets. With courage and an open heart surrender to now.
INCLUSION
As individuals we are all so unique and built in complexity. Come as you are, in all your glorious diversity and let's celebrate each other!
LEAVE ONLY MEMORIES
We love our planet and hope that any space we visit can be left in a better condition that when we found it. Please be careful with how you dispose of rubbish including cigarette butts.
PARTICIPATION
Soul Tribe Festival is created by you. You bring the love, the spirit and the vibes. The more you show up here, the more we will all gain. Let us see you!
SELF EXPRESSION
We respect and honour each and every one of you exactly as you are. Every part of you is welcome here. Allow yourself to walk/dance/sing/cry/be in your truth. Let your divine authenticity shine.
2. PRACTICAL INFORMATION
You are coming to a wild, wonderful eco-village nestled away in a rugged valley. We'll be living simply for our time here allowing us to connect more deeply with each other and nature. There's several things to bare in mind before arriving:
- Three vegetarian and vegan meals a day will be provided for us by the Spirit Horse Community as well as unlimited tea. Meal times will be at 9.30, 1.30 and 7pm. Last meal will be at 12.30pm on Tuesday 21st. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY DIETARY NEEDS SO WE CAN ALERT THE KITCHEN TEAM PRIOR TO THE EVENT
- There is no electricity and limited phone signal.
- There is a fresh water stream that runs through the village from a waterfall which you can drink and a tap so bring reusable bottles.
- There is no hot water. Bathing is done in a stream or cold water shower. Your bare, most natural form is welcome here but bring swimwear if you would prefer.
- It is ESSENTIAL you bring a torch / head torch / lantern, there is no lighting in the evenings so when it's night time, it's dark and paths are narrow and winding.
- The closest shops and pharmacy is almost an hour away so be sure to bring a personal first aid kit and any luxuries you may desire; chocolate, red wine, tobacco.
- Alcohol is not prohibited but please consume consciously and carefully. The closest hospital is over an hour away. This is a place of radical self-reliance so please do not put yourself or anyone else in danger.
3. HOW TO GET THERE
RIDESHARES
Ride shares are a great way to start the festival early, meeting new members of the Soul Tribe and sharing a scenic journey to the wild Welsh valley. Parking at Spirit Horse is limited so the fewer cars on site, the better. Please use your spare seats for Soul Tribe bums.
We have set up a Facebook group for you to offer seats and request lifts.
Join this group and start the conversation:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/soultribe2022rideshares
The address is Pennant Valley, Llanbrynmair, Powys, Wales, SY19 7BJ. We ask you please to keep this location secret to protect the privacy of the community who live at Spirit Horse.
BY TRAIN
The nearest train station is Newtown, Powys which is a 50 minute car ride from the site. There are taxis here which cost between ยฃ30 - ยฃ50 . The Spirit Horse community have offered to run a taxi service from the station for ยฃ20. Pick up times are 12 and 6 pm daily. LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE SO WE CAN ARRANGE IT WITH THE DRIVER.
BY CAR
A Sat Nav will take you pretty much the whole way when you enter the above address but signal may get lost the closer to the site you become.
Here are directions for the last section of the journey:
Turn right towards Machynlleth and Llanbrynmair. At Llanbrynmair (signposted Staylittle and Llanidoles). After a few miles you pass through a village called Llan. After a couple of miles look for a sign reading 'Pennant' and take first right into a 'no through road'. Stay on this road all the way down the valley. After the last farm go through the metal gate, and please be sure to close it after you so as not to cause a disturbance with the farm owner, follow the stone track all the way until you see the car park, a triangle of green grass on the right at the end of the track. Park up here and walk down through the big metal gate.
4. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Arrival is from 2pm on Friday 17th.
If arriving by car you can park in the car park and take a 5 minute walk down a hill. If you are staying in a camper you will be asked to park up in the car park.
Please provide your name and proof of purchase on arrival.
The first activity on Friday will be dinner at 7pm
Departure is on Tuesday 21st after lunch at 12.30. We have all be offered the opportunity to stay an extra night to celebrate Summer Solstice. This will cost an additional ยฃ39 cash which you must bring with you. This can be arranged whilst we are there and you can pay it directly to Shiv, from the Spirit Horse community.

6. VOLUNTEERING
If you're not offering a workshop or holding space during the festival and are wondering how you could contribute your individual magic this is your opportunity to make an offering.
Perhaps you love connecting with others and making them feel welcome, perhaps you like connecting to the core elements and creating a sacred space for people to feel warm at night or perhaps you like to help people ground through the senses and create calm in people's day!?
Here are our gold star roles:
For the festival to run smoothly and collaboratively we would love for people to donate around 3-4 hours of their time, either to some of these roles or to leading workshops/ space holding. Where you give you will receive, this is the karma of life and a co-created community โค
Gate and welcome fairies: What better way to start your festival experience by welcoming all those who you will spend the weekend with! This role includes welcoming people on the entry gate, checking tickets, giving directions to all the facilities and advising them of any other important information they may need, giving out free hugs to those who are in need and being a friendly face for people upon arrival!
2 people are required per shift and shifts are: Friday 2-5pm, 5-7:30, 7:30-10pm, Saturday 8am-10am, 10am-2pm & 2-4pmSmudge fairies: Do you love seeing a smile emerge on somebody's face as they let go of what doesn't serve and ground back in to their bodies through their senses? We're looking for some special smudge fairies for our opening and closing ceremonies to help welcome our guests in to the temple space by offering them a friendly face and a cleansing body smudge to awaken their senses through smell as they walk in to the space.
2 people are required per shift and shifts are: Friday 8:15-8:45pm & Monday 8:45-9:15pmSacred firekeepers: We're looking for people who will keep our fire burning, who will look after it and respect it's sacredness! Do you connect deeply with the fire element within you and have fire keeping in your lineage!? Do you pride yourself in putting together a fire that keeps burning all through the night, providing warmth to all of those around you and do you love nothing better than connecting with all that lies within the fire, as a sacred element of life? Well this is the role for you!! You would be required to make sure the fire is supplied with plenty of all it's essential ingredients, that there is a stone protection ring to protect the fire from spreading & a bucket of sand nearby at all times and to give the fire all the love and support it needs throughout the night; this could include blessing it with sacred sounds, smells or plant offerings or inviting in song and mantra if you feel called.
We are looking for minimum 1 person to hold space for the fire on Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday night for the following shifts: 8-10pm, 10-12pm, 12-2am.Craft area fairy to ensure the crafting space stays tidy and useable for kids and adults to get creative in! We're looking for 1 or 2 people to check the space after breakfast and dinner to make sure the space is useable and organised.
