This May, as the warmth of spring awakens the earth, we welcome you to a celebration of Family, in its many forms.
As babies, we were vulnerable, relying on others' love and care to survive. Even now, when life feels overwhelming, we often turn to the divine - like a child calling for a parent - seeking guidance and comfort. To live a life of love and service, we are called to take the next step: to cultivate the strength, courage, and compassion needed to care for ourselves and others.
At this year’s gathering, we will honour Sri Gopala, the mischievous child form of Lord Krishna. Through devotion to Gopala, we practise the loving service of Yashoda, Krishna’s adoptive mother. Yashoda saw beyond her child’s mischievous behaviour and celebrated his divinity in every moment.
In times like these, when the world feels more divided than ever, we can learn to embrace the imperfections in ourselves and others. During this gathering, we will reflect on what it takes to live together as a family. Caring for each other with the same love as Yashoda had for her little Krishna - we can step into the role of the divine parent, understanding that true spiritual maturity is found in patience and compassion.
This gathering is more than just an event, it’s a homecoming. Through devotional chanting, sacred ceremonies and community, we will honour the family we are born into, while also celebrating the family we choose. During these sacred moments we will connect deeply with each other and with the divine.
And of course it’s not all serious - Sip a chai, have a chat in the Chaishop, have a look at our little flea market or get a beautiful henna tattoo and enjoy the magic of simply being together!
We look forward to sharing this long weekend full of love, laughter and open-heartedness.
Please note: Camping is not included with multiple day tickets. However, if you're in need of special arrangements, feel free to get in touch – we’ll do our best to support where we can.
