EDB combines the worlds of Ecstatic Dance, diverse dance music and sound system culture with prayer, mindfulness and ritual. 

Using the practice of Ecstatic Dance we create a held space for you to express, expand and experience rejuvenation through movement, dance and sound.

The experience is a modern day ritual where the communion of people, movement and sound serve as mediums for transformation, liberation and soul invigorating celebration.

Our community gatherings are sober and suitable for all ages, abilities and people.

Anna-Lisa | Ecstatic Dance

Anna-Lisa is a Ecstatic Dance DJ and Facilitator as well as a Tao Master, Art Therapist and mother. She has a pure love of creating transformation, expression and expansion through the body, mind, heart and soul. She weaves her knowledge and experience from energetic, physical, therapeutic and creative trainings to create layered dance landscapes to explore, reflect and process our inner and outer worlds with a mix of global rhythms, beats and melodies.

Anna-Lisa brings the embodied immaculate feminine presence, receptivity and virtue allowing the unique essence of participants to flourish. Her exquisite music landscape creates a sacred temple space to come home to ourselves through movement, embodiment and self love.

Lucy Wylde | Live Songs & Sound Journey

Songstress of the earth, Lucy Wylde has dedicated her life to bringing us home to ourselves through her powerfully emotive songs. Her earthly, gentle presence holds a key of soft femininity and depth of wisdom that transmutes through her songs and voice. Her powerful voice and gentle melodies is the reflection of what it means to truly connect to our hearts, accepting all that we are. Expect to be taken on a deep journey with her gift to enlighten a room with the power and presence of her healing voicescapes.

d&b audiotechnik Sound System

We have been working with Amber Audio ever since we first launched EDB in February 2019. They provide d&b audiotechnik equipment which is one of the best manufacturers in the industry.

Tickets

We have a limited number of Low Income tickets. Please only buy this ticket if this applies to you, so they are available for you and other people who are genuinely on a low income.

Refunds & Transfers

Please note, we do not arrange refunds.
We encourage ticket reselling via the ‘Ecstatic Dance Bristol Community' group on Signal.

If you give notice 48hrs or more before the event we can transfer your ticket to a future date (email OSARA).

By purchasing a ticket and attending our events you agree to respect and follow our Ecstatic Dance Guidelines and Safe(r) Space Agreement. Ecstatic Dance Guidelines

• Be here: no outside shoes
• Be free: dance how you want / no judgement
• Be present: no phones & no unauthorised filming or photography
• Be embodied: no talking on the dance floor
• Be clear: no alcohol or drugs
• Be consensual: respect & honour boundaries of yourself & others - if it's not a clear “YES”, everything else must be considered a “NO”

Safe(r) Space Agreement

• You are responsible for yourself, your wellbeing & your belongings
• You are responsible for your own experience & interactions with others
• You agree to be consensual, respect other people's boundaries & ensure you give as much space as they require - if it's not a clear “YES”, everything else must be considered a “NO”
• People can change their mind, therefore remember that a YES can always turn into a NO and that must be respected every time
• You agree that you are able to say “YES” or “NO” in an appropriate way (a “NO” can be ‘prayer hands’ or Namaste followed by a bow)
• Be mindful, respectful and aware of yourself & others
• If you feel unsafe or uncomfortable for any reason then please let our Welfare Angel or a Team Member know immediately
