EDB combines the worlds of Ecstatic Dance, diverse dance music and sound system culture with prayer, mindfulness and ritual.
Using the practice of Ecstatic Dance we create a held space for you to express, expand and experience rejuvenation through movement, dance and sound.
The experience is a modern day ritual where the communion of people, movement and sound serve as mediums for transformation, liberation and soul invigorating celebration.
Our community gatherings are sober and suitable for all ages, abilities and people.
Come as you are. Dance as you please. Be your uniqueness.
DJ Amada | Ecstatic Dance DJ
Born in Argentina, DJ Amada creates soulful, World and South American Music-infused dance journeys that invite dancers into their bodies, taking them high and low, across an incredible array of music genres.
Her love of free-form movement started at a young age and was cemented over 10 years ago after leaving her London corporate job and taking time to travel indefinitely. When she returned from her travels she discovered 5 Rhythms; the seed that led her to Ecstatic Dance which then inspired her to learn how to DJ and create Ecstatic Dance journeys.
She has DJed at Buddhafield and has travelled the country to DJ at various Ecstatic Dances in Manchester, Swansea, Stroud and London, amongst others.
Ecstatic Dance is her calling and the most beautiful way for her to share her passion for World and Electronic Music; and most importantly, a modality for her to heal, process life and be in community.
