Bristol Psychedelic Society Monthly PsySocial

We’re extremely excited for our second Bristol & South West Psychedelic Society Social, aimed to build a community of like-minded souls, share, network, and discuss.

Grounding together with guided practices, sharing nourishing food, and collectively engaging with fascinating talks and conversations, these socials will be an opportunity to connect deeply and cross-pollinate with fellow consciousness explorers.

This Month’s Theme: Exploring Cannabis as a Plant Medicine Teacher

Medicinal Cannabis: Exploring the Relationship to Cannabis as a Psychedelic and Spiritual Plant Teacher

In this month's talk, our speaker Hakay, will take a brief look into the history of cannabis, including its ceremonial past, where it came from, and how it came to be so prevalent across the world.

He will also speak about his personal journey that transformed his relationship with cannabis from that of a drug to that of a spiritual teacher.

Finally, he will discuss the importance of and ways to safely interact with cannabis as a means for spiritual development.

About the Speaker: Hakay Ross

Beginning his own cannabis journey at 16 years old, Hakay first met what he calls "Mary" the feminine spirit of cannabis.

Connecting with Mary was a profound experience for him. But the truly life-changing benefits came in a situation of confinement where the plant medicine teacher guided Hakay to experience insights about his past and present that altered how he would view both his life and Mary.

In the years to come, Hakay began to hold ceremonial cannabis space for himself and then guiding others to learn from Mary too. Now, he aims to share the message that cannabis can be a medicine with the potential for more transformation than any other psychedelic in the west due to its widespread availability.

The rest of the evening will be dedicated to free-form discussion and connection around our common interest - psychedelics!

We will meet at The Gasworks Studio, a beautiful and homely venue located in St. Werburghs, Bristol. We invite you to bring a vegan dish of choice so we can share a scrummy potluck dinner together. Teas and coffees will be available.
