From sidelined to star: enhance your holiday dinner sides this season!
Workshop: Lovin' Our Holiday Sides
Date: Thursday, 12 December 2024
Time: 6:00 - 8:00 PM
Location: Reimagine Co (206 Piccadilly St, London ON)
Join us for another in-person, hands-on workshop with Grow Cook Learn!
Turkey, mashed potatoes, carrots - these all make up a typical holiday dinner… but what about the supporting sides!? This workshop showcases those often-overlooked holiday dinner supporters: cranberry sauce, bread, gravy, and a veggie side, delicata squash! These dishes, commonly purchased ready-to-eat, can be enhanced when made from scratch.
At this workshop, you will:
- Engage in an interactive cooking demonstration
- Practice your measuring and chopping skills on veggies and dry goods
- Leave with FOUR ready-to-cook side dishes: cranberry sauce, bread, gravy, and delicata squash
What you'll need:
- Enthusiasm to learn and cook!
- Your own freezer-safe containers (four!) in which to store the premixed ingredients for your side dishes
Note: you will be preparing dishes to take home and cook at a later date - dinner will not be served at this workshop.
This event is free to attend. Please RSVP to let us know how many people to expect, and please cancel your reservation if you are no longer able to come (so that we can offer your spot to someone else). Reimagine Co is a fully accessible venue, and we welcome participants of all abilities, ages and backgrounds. This is a family-friendly workshop - please indicate how many children are attending by reserving tickets labelled “Child RSVP (free)”!
