Manteio Music: An Immersive Sonic Journey into The Temple of Oracle
Manteio or the “Temple of the Oracle” channel’s the wisdom of the past into contemporary soundscapes
About The Event
Manteio is a music collective of four artists with backgrounds spanning lifelong dedication to folk and electronic music, to rigorous classical training from the Royal Academy of Music. We interweave improvisation and tradition to craft immersive sonic journeys. Rooted in the ancient Greek concept of the Manteio—“the Oracle” or “Temple of the Oracle”—we channel the wisdom of the past into contemporary soundscapes, inviting audiences into a deep listening experience that transcends time and culture.
Our work merges Hellenic-Greek, Anatolian, Sephardic, East Asian, and Celtic influences, fusing traditional Turkish percussion, saz, Greek lyre, violin, cello, and an array of traditional flutes with vocal techniques spanning ancient traditions to experimental forms, blending effects and electronics to push sonic boundaries.
By fusing timeless instruments with cutting-edge methods, we blur the lines between past and future, offering audiences a genre-defying experience that celebrates cultural diversity and collective unity.

Garwyn Linnell is a cellist, artist, energy and sound healer, and somatic bodywork and movement therapist. He is one of the founders of the Magic Tree Collective and is involved with a wide range of sonic collaborations. You can find him playing in a variety of festivals and performances of all different styles and genres, he is also involved in facilitating sound baths, tea ceremonies, and retreats, doing 1-2-1 holistic therapy work.
Christina Deva is a Greek vocal based musician and artist, interested in raw and unfiltered expression, and the power of transformation through the voice. She views music and voice as a collaboration with collective consciousness, and forces beyond human sentient beings of the many worlds interwoven with our current earthly existence. In the voice resides the history of humanity, the history of the soul from the endless beginning. Through multiple and intricate ways, the voice of the one becomes the voice of the many. Through her music Christina Deva aims to be a mirror of transpersonal metaphors that reflect the horrifying beauty of being alive.
David Edward is a musician, artist and multi-instrumentalist, currently based in London. Known for the ability to channel both feminine and masculine energies through their ethereal voice and evocative compositions, Davids art serves as a bridge between worlds, creating music that offers a transformative journey, inviting listeners into a world of magic, connection, and introspection.
Tolga Tres is a musician, producer, visual artist, and co-founder of Holon Records. Inspired by the transcendental qualities of sound, he blends electronic and ethnic music, including influences from his Anatolian homeland and ancient world traditions. He invokes the essence of musical mysticism in his performances and creations.
