Well, there was a breather, first a moment to look inward to find ones truth and then a moment to ground in it. Perhaps you have found some time in the past week to build your cave place, a hideout to retreat to, an altar to your deep places. It’s vital to know and to accept your truth as you move through new and unknown lands, it is that knowing that will be your barometer in the disorientation that may shake your hand, or your self in the coming journey.

This week, as we step further into the thickening forest, we meet the river, and in it our first trial.

In many stories, water is a changer and a disrupter. It carves a wild and lively valley through the level earth, its familiars sing us sweetly into mortal peril, and its body promises change in the crossing of its boundary. It is a trickster, reckoning with the balances of creation and destruction.

We will be playing with the qualities of the trickster, feeling what it is to be fooled and what it feels to fool. The trickster is a manifestor, an inventor, and a destroyer.. a character dancing in reckless joy between the boundaries of clarity and chaos.

Be wary of where you step when you cross this beck…

What to expect:

  • Games and other foolery
  • Making with clay
  • Group sharing / work
  • Free writing

What to bring:

  • Your own notebook / journal and pen if you have them
  • There will be water, tea, and snacks, but if you'd like anything else feel free to bring it
  • There's no need to bring ‘messy clothes’ or an apron for the clay work

Walking - you can walk here from Glasgow city centre in 30 minutes

Cycling - you can leave your bike in a secure bike store inside the building
