EARTH MASS: Remembrance. Reconnection. Reverence.

Earth Mass is a place for our hearts to be stirred, our love for earth awakened, our hope for the world and our trust in our own humanity rekindled.

We will come together in reverence of our planet, to remember that we are of the earth, and to feel ourselves intimately connected with all living things.

The evening will involve meditation, connection and embodiment exercises as well as poetry, song, and ritual.

Who we are:

We are a group of artists, poets, educators, facilitators, bodyworkers and psychological practitioners who share a desire to come together to celebrate life, to share our grief in the face of the crises we’re facing; to weave community and to create pathways towards collective wild service.

What is Church for Earth?

Church for Earth is being created as a prayer, a love song and a fierce wild cry.

It calls for us to remember and reconnect with ourselves and each other as part of earth, and to intimately restitch the fabric of our communities back together with earth and the place they are rooted in.

And it is a wild cry rooted in this very moment of time we are living in, that we need to urgently work together to take action, to restore and rewild ecosystems. And it is a prayer that we are here, to live through this. That where we are is not a coincidence. That we have to collectively face the prospect of losing our homes, our shorelines, the soil beneath our feet, the wildness in our forests, in order to come to a deep, earth-shuddering love for our planet, for ourselves and for each other.
