Adama presents: HANA WOLF, Hanna Leigh & Mike Gilpin

Dartmoor-based songwriter Hana Wolf, on the back of her recent release ‘Fall’ (featured on BBC introducing) joins forces with local storyteller and songsmith Mike Gilpin and renowned shamanic song-weaver Hanna Leigh to create an evening of original alternative folk music and interwoven harmonies to mark the upcoming transition into spring.

The songs explore and honour the cycles of the seasons, our internal landscapes and the power of the wild, each song a love story in devotion to the natural landscapes, creatures and folklore that shape our lives and memories.

Artist Bios -

HANA WOLF

Hana Wolf is a musician and medicine ceremony leader from Dartmoor. Hana initially lead kirtan and cacao ceremonies in London and at festivals and now leads and sings in medicine ceremony retreats in the Netherlands. Hana has a passion for uniting hearts and voices in song, and being together with others in our authentic expression and humanness, in our grief, struggle, aliveness and joy. Hana believes all voices are beautiful and encourages everyone to sing

Over the last 5 years Hana has been devoted to her own music blossoming and receiving her own original music. Through this time she has bee teaching herself to record and produce her own music which is now being listened to all across the globe. Hana sings from the heart about her own vulnerability and hopes to inspire others to speak their truth and be who they are in this world.

This is Hana’s first headliner gig and it would be an amazing support to have your heart, smiles and voices and join this special evening of music!

HANNA LEIGH

Hanna Leigh (pronounced "Hah-nah-LAY") is a singer originally from California (Chumash territory).
As a songwriter and song carrier, Hanna Leigh sources her musical inspiration from the immense beauty of this precious earth, her own dreamtime, and from that which is beyond words; weaving original and traditional songs.

MICHAEL GILPIN

Mike has been writing music since his sleepy Devonshire childhood and throughout his career has collaborated with other musicians of various realms - from prog metal to ceilidh bands and beyond. He has a love of the evocative, the ambient and the stories that sound and music can tell, leading to many years working as an actor/musician where he crafted and performed live soundtracks in the world of immersive theatre and storytelling.

In recent years Mike has developed a songbook of original alternative acoustic folk, ambient soundscapes and instrumental pieces. His songs live within the dynamics of light and dark, fire and water and are fuelled by a love for melody and wild places.
