Tantra Sadhana: Exploring the Sacred Within
Shaiva Tantra, a profound spiritual tradition originating in the Kashmir region of Northern India, offers a path of self-discovery and transformation through its rich lineage of wisdom teachings. Rooted in a non-dual perspective, it invites us to see beyond the boundaries of the self and connect with a deeper, more expansive reality. This approach weaves philosophy with practice, creating a unique and powerful internal form of yoga.
In this meditative journey, we explore the body’s subtle anatomy—its chakras, energy pathways (nadis), and energetic knots (granthis)—through practices that include visualisation, mantra, and breathwork. These techniques, refined over centuries, are not just about energy regulation but serve as a bridge to the profound realisation of oneness that underpins all tantric teachings.
At the heart of this practice is meditative self-inquiry, where we gently examine the nature of our essential Self and our place in the tapestry of existence. Rather than offering rigid answers, Tantra provides a framework for exploration, encouraging us to approach these questions with openness and curiosity. This inquiry helps us move beyond the habitual confines of identity and tap into the sacred vastness that resides within.
Regular meditation has benefits that ripple through every facet of life. It sharpens mental clarity, soothes the nervous system, and cultivates a grounded sense of presence. Through this practice, we not only find moments of calm but also open ourselves to the possibility that what we are—beyond form and concept—is something inherently sacred and boundless.
This class welcomes everyone, regardless of experience, to delve into this transformative practice with sincerity and an open heart.
