🌞 Summer Solstice Ecstatic Dance Day Retreat
Sunday 22nd June 2025 | Colwick Country Park, Nottingham

Step into the magic of the Summer Solstice with a full-day Ecstatic Dance Rretreat surrounded by nature. Join us at Colwick Country Park for a soulful journey of movement, connection, and celebration. We begin at 10:30am with time to arrive and settle before opening the space with a Tipi tent Summer Solstice Ceremony. 

Throughout the day we will be flowing through lots of different community games and movement sessions, including a warm-up workshop with Victoria Jane, a silent disco dance parade through the trees, and a playful introduction to Contact Improvisation with Claudia Silas and Victoria Jane. 

Together we will enjoy a community lunch, a heart-opening cacao circle, and a guided movement experience that leads into our main Ecstatic Dance Party with live DJ VJ. We’ll close in small sharing circles and gather for a final Closing Circle around 6pm. For those who wish to linger, our optional Evening Chill Community Circle offers the perfect wind-down. 

To keep the ticket price more accessible to everyone there will be no lunch provided, please bring your own pack lunch and water. We will provide some yummy snacks. 

Snacks and ceremonial cacao is included with your ticket.

📜 Ecstatic Dance Guidelines

To support a safe and intentional space, we ask all dancers to honour the following guidelines when we are dancing :

• No talking on the dance floor
   
• No use of phones during the session
   
• Dance barefoot where possible

               Substance-free event
               Respect for personal space and boundaries
 

🗺️ Getting There & Practical Info

📍 Location: Colwick Country Park, End of, Racecourse Rd, Nottingham NG2 4BH

🚗 Parking: Use the Racecourse Road Car Park — clearly marked signs will guide you to the dance space from there
🚌 Public Transport: Take Nottingham City Transport Bus No. 44 to Colwick Racecourse Stop, then walk a short distance to the car park
🚻 Toilets: Approximately a 12-minute walk from the dance space — please plan ahead
