Movement, at its heart, should never be limited by financial barriers. But with so many of us facing financial challenges right now, it’s sadly become a luxury. If you’re able to contribute a little more it'll helps me offer more low-income tickets to those who need them most, making movement accessible to everyone.

ABOUT THE WORKSHOP

MadStillNess is a soul-deep blend of psychology, yoga, and ecstatic dance—a moving, breathing ritual designed to help you let go of what no longer serves and welcome in the year with fresh, intentional energy.

This isn’t about fixing yourself—it’s about feeling yourself. In MadStillNess we honour the intelligence of your body, explore its unspoken language, and reconnect with your unique rhythm.

What to expect:

  • A Cacao Ceremony to gently open the heart and ground into the moment.
  • Movement Practices blending structure with fluidity, from yoga to ecstatic dance, to unlock the energy and emotions your body’s been holding onto.
  • Time for reflection on the year that’s past, releasing what doesn’t serve us and intention setting for the year to come.
  • Stillness Techniques like meditation and breathwork, finding stillness amongst the madness.

Come as you are—whether that’s full of energy, feeling quiet, or somewhere in between. This is a queer and neurodivergent-friendly space, a safe space to  be curious with your body and mind, let go of expectations and comparisons and get creative with your self expression.

ABOUT PHÖEBE

Phöebe Hares is a Bristol-based trauma-informed psychologist, embodiment coach, international yoga teacher, and multidisciplinary artist. Her work bridges the realms of mental health, movement, and creativity, inviting profound personal transformation and self-expression.

With over a decade of experience supporting vulnerable communities across the globe, Phöebe has worked with adults and children in crisis, specializing in trauma recovery and empowerment. In recognition of her contributions to the 2019 Bushfire Recovery efforts in Australia, she was honored with a badge of commemoration by the Mayor of Melbourne.

Phöebe’s own journey through mental health challenges, including struggles with addiction and eating disorders, led her to the healing practices of yoga, performance, and creative expression. These experiences now inform her deeply compassionate and empowering approach to facilitation.

Her philosophy centers on helping others reconnect with their bodies’ innate wisdom. Phöebe believes that movement is more than a physical act—it’s a way to process, heal, and articulate emotions that words alone cannot express.

Her extensive training includes a BA in Social Science from The University of Brighton, an MSc in Psychology from Sheffield Hallam University, and a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Rishikesh Yoga School. Additionally, her creative background in Musical Theatre at the Tobacco Factory has shaped her dynamic approach to coaching and performance art.

Phöebe’s creative work has received wide recognition. Her spoken word poetry was presented to Parliament as part of the UN Women UK’s Safe Spaces Campaign after winning a Reggie Yates competition in 2019. As a performer, she has appeared in TV and film for the BBC, Disney, and Netflix, on the West End, and at music festivals across the UK such as Boomtown and Secret Garden Party, as well as internationally in Poland and at the circus in India.

Phöebe is passionate about creating environments that promote self-discovery, creative freedom, and resilience. Whether facilitating a workshop, leading a yoga practice, or performing on stage, her mission is to guide others toward reclaiming their body, finding their unique way of moving and rediscovering the power of their own presence.

“Movement is a language. It’s how the body speaks its truths, untangles its pain, and reveals its beauty.”

INCLUSIVITY

This is a queer and neurodivergent-friendly space, where the only rule is to be yourself.

Dress to express —whether it’s a flowy dress, your favourite sweats, or something a little sexier. This space is a judgment-free space of self-expression. Nipps out, bums out - you do you boo. Please remember that consent is sexy - we all have different needs to please respect each other's space and boundaries.

MUSIC

A journey from soulful ambience to the vibrant beats of Afrobeats, calypso, reggae, and dub.
