A weekend for adults, using Play to access insights and deeper understanding.
Everyone can play.
In fact we need it; as an opportunity to allow the wise-imagination of the subconscious to flow; as a place in which we can see ourselves with humour and forgiveness; and one where we can toy with new ways of being, before taking them back out into real-life situations… These two days of rich invitations enabling the ‘risk’ of participation and experimentation, are a light-hearted way to go deep, in beautiful conducive surroundings.
Learn about yourself while laughing, making, moving, pretending, and having fun - through a sensitive journey full of diverse tools. Come away feeling connected, less-inhibited, and knowing-yourself a little more... with an embodied sense of the value of Play.
SATURDAY July 6th 12-7pm
SUNDAY July 7th 10-5pm
The days will be packed with invitations; and we'll visit the power of storytelling, puppet-making, games, dance, and rough-and-tumble - with the option of a hot-tub at the end of the day.
This is a non-residential event - but there is plenty of accommodation in the area, and even some available on-site. Bring your own lunch.
[contact me to attend as an assistant, at a reduced rate]
THE VENUE: The Hearth is a 16 acre venue in the heart of the South Hams, offering ecotherapy, land management, and events to support connection the Earth. Alongside the fabulous yurt, we have access to picnic benches, firepit, hot-tub, compost loo and rustic kitchen, as well as rich grassland, wild-flower meadow, and five acres of mature woodland with a stream.
ABOUT ROZI:
I've been working in the field of Play all my life, in various forms. Through the art of childcare and creative Playwork, and through Theatre, drama, installation and experience-design, as well as years of running participatory and applied-arts workshops. I observed how inevitably those spaces would lead to transformation and profound effect - and gradually I trained in therapeutic modalities which more-intentionally hold those provocations and possibility of change. It pains me how so many of us are debilitated by lack of self-worth, in a society without adequate sanctuary, and I see it as an important form of activism to offer spaces which enhance connection and true-expression.
I have a rich toolbox, influenced by by practices including Biodanza, ProcessWork, Expressive Arts Therapy, Playfighting, and so much more. But beyond that over years of space-holding, mentoring and facilitation; I have developed a unique flavour of work - welcoming people exactly as they are, and inviting them to be More of themselves.
