This ceremonial gathering invites you to experience the sacred and ancient art of Rose Healing, guided by the ancestral lineages who have long revered the Rose as a powerful heart-medicine and portal to the divine. Come as you are, remember, return and soften into a sacred homecoming.

You will be held in a deeply nourishing container woven with ancestral healing techniques from Mexican, Celtic, and Incan traditions. At the heart of this journey lies an indigenous Rose healing practice passed down through curanderos (traditional healers) of Mexico, infused with the vibrational medicine of Roses grown ceremonially at sacred sites from the Sacred Valley to Glastonbury.

We will call upon the spirit of the Rose through prayer, ritual, ancestral songs, native instruments, and meditation—allowing her to meet you where you are and offer what is most needed. Her gentle but profound intelligence speaks to the places unseen—guiding you to soften the heart, release old grief, and open to the infinite wellspring of love within.

Lineage of the Rose

✨ In Celtic traditions, the Rose was a portal to the Otherworld—used in rites of passage, seasonal festivals, and womb blessings.

✨ In Incan traditions, the Rose carried the frequency of Munay—unconditional love—and was offered in flower baths and Despacho ceremonies to restore harmony with Pachamama.

✨ In the Mexican curandera (traditional healer) path, the Rose is revered as a heart-healer, working intuitively across the emotional, spiritual, and energetic realms to release grief, balance the nervous system, and restore inner peace.

✨ In the Magdalene and Rose Priestess lineages, the Rose is a sacred symbol of divine feminine wisdom, sensual embodiment and heart-led service. Mary Magdalene is often remembered as a High Priestess of the Rose—keeper of sacred mysteries, womb rites, and the path of remembrance.

A plant medicine facilitator, womb guide, and shamanic integration therapist devoted to the Rose lineage. Her work bridges psychology, somatics, and the sacred feminine, offering tender and transformative spaces for inner alchemy.

Juan Carlos Taminchi
A Curandero, musician, visionary artist, and guardian of the Amazonian traditions, of indigenous Incan descent on his mothers side and Amazonian decent on his fathers side. With over 20 years of service to the sacred plants, Juan Carlos shares Amazonian chants (Icaros), healing prayers, and sacred teachings rooted in deep spiritual ecology and collective healing.

  Stanmer Organics is a walk away from landmark Stanmer House, Stanmer Park, Brighton.
• Accommodation can be sought in Brighton and Hove, as well as camp sites in the greater Brighton and Hove area.
• Transport – Number 78 bus runs into the park on the weekends (7-10 minute walk to course site) and number 25 bus to park entrance weekdays (17-20 minute walk). By train- Falmer station (20+ minute walk), parking also available, a short (7-10 minute) walk.

Step into the ancient and vibrational world of the Icaro — sacred healing songs of the Peruvian Amazon. Used for thousands of years by Indigenous healers, these powerful chants are more than melodies — they are energetic transmissions received directly from plant spirits, sung into the soul to cleanse, align, and awaken.

In this experiential workshop, Juan Carlos Taminchi — a curandero of Andean and Amazonian descent — will guide us into the cosmology, language, and healing technology of the Icaro. A carrier of the Shipibo and Quechua lineages, Juan Carlos brings over 20 years of ceremonial experience with master plants.

Together we will explore:

🌿 Panel Talk & Q&A — Healing with Plants

Sunday 17th August | 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM

We will close this sacred day with a powerful live panel conversation and Q&A with Juan Carlos Taminchi, visionary artist and curandero from the Amazon of Peru, and Harley Rose, a plant spirit facilitator, integration therapist, and shamanic practitioner.

Together, they will open a dialogue around ancestral plant medicine traditions, healing ceremonies, and the spiritual responsibility we each hold in this time of collective transformation.

Juan Carlos will share from his life's path — over 20 years as a traditional curandero, ayahuascero and tobaccero, and his heart-led project to reforest 37 hectares of sacred medicinal plants in the Peruvian Amazon. Rooted in direct experience, his insights bridge art, nature, ceremony, and the soul of the plants.

Detailed instructions for arriving to the venue

Car: Park in the One Garden Car Park (Patchway), which does have a fee. Walk out of the car park from the exit towards Stanmer Organics, with the Manor House behind you. Follow the track past Bee in the Woods till the end of it, turn right up the hill, walk past the Sauna Garden to the main Stanmer Organics Entrance on your left. Turn left and follow the track all the way along until you reach Future Roots. If you get lost, ask anyone for directions to the Earthship and we are next door to that.

Bus from Brighton: Get the 78 Bus to Stanmer Village (the earliest one on Sunday leaves Old Steine at 10am, and then one every hour). Once you arrive at Stanmer Village, walk to Patchway Car Park and follow the directions above.

If the timings of the 78 Bus don't work for you, then you can also get any bus towards Sussex University (25, 23) and get off at the Stanmer Park Entrance Stop. This is a 25 minute BEAUTIFUL walk through the park from the site.

Train: I really recommend this option if you would like to see more of Falmer and the beautiful grounds and ancient trees - get the train to Falmer Station and walk about 30 minutes through Stanmer Park to the site, enjoying glorious views 

If you are using Google Maps, Future Roots does have a location on there, but the walking path it tries to take you on through Stanmer Village is incorrect. Go past the One Garden instead.
