WE RETURN after a long summer of adventures, to bring you back to the spiritual dance floor that's brought us so much magic and connection so far. PORTAL SAMHAIN is our offering to the change of the seasons, the wheel of the year, where we reap the last of our harvests and divine our future voyage through the winter. 

FOR THOSE THAT HAVE NOT JOINED BEFORE let us tell you what PORTAL means to us. We create an evening popup dancefloor, a mystical realm that was not there before, but we open the PORTAL to our magically themed destination each time. We are an alcohol-free event where you can be and feel however you want and express your true authentic self. We scoop you up and take you on a journey through your own inner world of reflection, connection, dancing and creative expression, with safe friends all around. We always land you back exactly where you need to be, stepping out into the world and onto your next adventure.

SAMHAIN is a time of gathering around the community fire, a time when the veil between the living and the dead is at its thinnest, a time for celebration, contemplation and preparing for the dark months ahead. At PORTAL we embrace and celebrate all cycles of life, we don't shy away from death and new beginnings. What are you harvesting from the previous cycle? What have you learned and what do you want to shed for the beginning of your winter hibernation? In this liminal space between worlds we come together and rekindle those connections that sustain us for the dark voyage. Folklore speaks of fairies and spirits emerging during this time, so come dressed in the costume that would best help you to commune with these spirits and ward off malevolent entities.

WHAT TO EXPECT: DANCING AND MOVEMENT! We celebrate all individuals and their unique expressions and gifts. This is a judgment free space where we are free to be ourselves, let our hair down and explore the boundaries of our self expression. We will do this in a group context where your fellow dancers become your community. This is an invitation to reconnect with your tribe as PORTAL is known for bringing people together and sparking deep, authentic and beautiful connections. If you need a quiet moment of contemplation and craft, you can come to our ART STATION to create reflections of your inner world. 

Our amazing hosts BREAKOUT CAFE will be there to warmly serve us a sumptuous buffet of bountiful drinks and snacks from their special space, cash and card accepted.

SAMULEE & SECRET LOWLANDS will curate your musical expedition, from grounding meditative world sounds to blissful expansive electronic music. The duo always take you on a journey through the places and shapes you need to visit with playful bouncing energy. We’re sure Sam will return with his signature playful homage to club culture in a story of organic downtempo through to smoothe UK Bass. Egle slowlands will bring the connection between mind, body and soul as she’ll expertly guide the weave of the feelings together in ecstatic and ancestral exultation.

18:00 ARRIVE to be greeted and get settled into our beautiful venue for the evening.

18:30 DOORS CLOSE no admittance after this. 

18:30 The evening starts with connection games to meet your journey companions before we enter the PORTAL together in a ritual

19:30 DJ SETS from Samulee and secret lowlands for around 3hrs of SAMHAIN DANCE FLOOR

22:30 we finish with a grounding MEDITATION, renewed and rejuvenated for the journey onwards.

23:00 END
