Wyld Words has been running since March 2022 and arose from my desire to carve out some mindful space to explore nature and write poetry with likeminded folk.

At these monthly online poetry circles, we take inspiration from a different nature being or environment. So far we have written about moss, rivers, birds, octopuses, cacti and many more!

A Wyld Words workshop includes:

  • A curated 90 minute workshop
  • A welcome circle
  • A grounding meditation
  • An introduction to the nature being of the month with some fun trivia and facts.
  • Two writing exercises and space to share if you wish.

No writing experience is necessary and sharing of your work is completely invitational! Tickets available on a tiered system (£18/£12/£8) with free spaces available.

Wyld Words has blossomed into a warm, supportive and nurturing container with regular poets from around the world, will you join us?

What do Wyld Ones Say?

"I first attended Lizzie's online gatherings in June 2022. That month the subject was plankton. In July we considered cacti and at the next gathering came the octopus and then ants. Each month something interesting from the natural world. We've just had sharks and then it will be moths. Each meeting lasts around ninety minutes and there is a loose structure that Lizzie manages skilfully and (apparently) effortlessly. It's an ideal format for getting some creative writing done.

Wyldwords seems to be a must attend event for a growing number of people around the English-speaking world. To me, it feels ever more like a meeting of friends and an occasion I wouldn't wish to miss. It isn't a chance to relax, but a valuable opportunity to focus in a precious space. If you're anxious to do at least SOME creative writing each month, I can absolutely recommend Wyldwords as a great place to start"

"Wyld Words is wonderful and inspiring - a place where every guest feels held and supported by host Lizzie and the rest of the group. Lizzie creates a special and inclusive environment while also giving us fascinating information about whatever subject we will be writing about during the session. It’s given me an opportunity to set aside time for poetry - but the true blessing of the event is the atmosphere. It’s a soothing balm that eases the stresses of life!" - Issy, UK
