Join us for a restorative evening of gentle Yoga, cleansing Breathwork and a deeply relaxing Gong bath to release tension from your body and mind, reset your nervous system, activate and nourish your inner being and your connection to yourself. Welcome the New year with us in this nourishing way and soften into self-love, acceptance and grace. Wherever you find yourself in the moment, you will be welcomed and held exactly as you are.
This New year special is a great opportunity to acknowledge and honor all the challenges, teachings and growth of the past year, and to plant our intentions for the next cycle. We will explore the power of intention vs. surrender and flow with Life…
- The doors open at 7:00pm so you have time to arrive, chat and settle down, before we start promptly at 7:15pm
- We will slow down, breathe deeply and take time to connect and set our intentions for the evening
- Then we stretch out and land fully into our bodies with a gentle yoga practice, especially designed to nourish your vagus nerve and activate the parasympathetic nervous system - the perfect way to unwind after a long week and switch from ‘doing’ into ‘being’, the regeneration mode where joy and healing are easily accessible :)
- Followed by breathwork to fully oxygenate our bodies, wash away all the accumulated stress, tension and move any stuck energies. Feel fully alive, tingly, with new calmness and clarity.
- Then it's your time to fully let go and relax, receive the deep rest you so much deserve, while being bathed in the powerful sound of gong. Allow the vibrations to resonate through your body and travel to places that need healing.
- Integration time: we rest in silence before using sounding practice to ground ourselves. And finally there will be a space to share before closing
About us:
Zuna (also known as Zuzu) is a bodyworker, yoga teacher, breathwork and meditation facilitator. At the core of her practice is her holistic approach to health and movement, fascia, embodied presence and her connection to nature. She loves to create group sessions, shorter events or day retreats to take you on a journey of self-discovery, connection and healing. She is based in the woods at the top of St Catherine's valley, where she has her treatment room for massages and 1:1 sessions. You can find more information here
Sue plays the gong to create an environment where there is nothing to be done except bathe in soundwaves and recalibrate. She offers 1:1 sessions in the cabin in the woods in St Catherine's valley, holds groups sessions and, where possible, loves to play for people and nature outside among the trees. In a private session, the gong creates sounds and vibration that your being specifically needs, and therefore can even deeper, more impactful experience. If you would like to find out more, drop her an email.
What to bring:
Comfortable clothing that doesn't restrict your movement, yoga mat (don't worry if you don't have one, some mats will be provided), cushion and blanket (and anything extra you would like to be warm and snuggly), water to keep hydrated
What you need to know:
- This event is designed for adults, but you are welcome to bring your teens with you if this is something that might interest them. Not suitable for smaller children.
- No experience with yoga or breathwork is needed. The practices are suitable for complete beginners and I encourage you to always listen to your body, don't push yourself to do anything that causes discomfort. There are always modifications available.
- If you have any concerns, health issues or mobility issues, please get in touch beforehand to discuss whether the event is suitable for you or how we can accommodate you. It is especially important you get in touch first, if you are experiencing any of the following: cardiovascular issues, history of stroke, asthma, pregnancy, recent injury or operation.
- Please note the tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE, but you can pass them on to friends in case your circumstances change and you can't make it
