For m/others navigating transition. It might be that you’re in the early stages of matrescence (the motherhood journey), pregnant or a new mum, returning to work, have kids starting school or leaving home. These are all parts of the same journey and the same story. You are all welcome here.

Exploring the profound parallels between the transformative experience of motherhood and the archetypal Heroine’s Journey. We'll be unravelling threads and piecing together elements from ages-old stories to help make sense of our shared and personal experiences of motherhood.

The session is led by storyteller and Jungian coach, Gemma Hannah and embodiment coach Emilie Joy Rowell. Together they'll guide you through mind and body practices to lean into and gather what you need from these stories.

Just as the heroine ventures into the unknown, facing trials and emerging transformed, the journey of motherhood reshapes a woman's identity, pushing her to confront fears, embrace new strengths, and ultimately return to herself with a deeper, more nuanced understanding of who she is. This workshop invites you to delve into these rich, symbolic connections, offering insights into how myths resonate with the modern experiences of mothers, providing both a framework and a source of empowerment for navigating the complexities of maternal transformation.

This session is part of a longer course, taking place over the 5 weeks following. This workshop opens the course and you are welcome to attend this session without committing to the full course.
