Beginner Contact Improvisation Class

Led by Harriet Roberts, this beginner-friendly class is designed to help you feel comfortable and confident in the practice of Contact Improvisation (CI). We understand that starting something new can feel intimidating, but this class is here to gently welcome you into the world of CI. Through a variety of exercises, and tailored to our group, we will explore solo, partner, and group dances, introducing key principles that will enrich your movement vocabulary and prepare you for the jam session.
Jam Session
17:00 - 19:00
The jam is a playful and supportive space where you can experiment and research your movement within the CI framework. With a guided entrance and exit, along with live music, this jam invites you to engage in solo, partner, and group dances, exploring all the transitions in between. Whether you're new or experienced, this is a space for everyone to enjoy and grow. The jam will be open to all participants of the class as well as those just arriving for the jam.
