"If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear as it is...infinite!"

These four weeks will immerse you in mind games and mini-meditations from both ancient tradition and recent scientific enquiry. These methods are known to produce profound shifts in consciousness and the way you experience the world.

★★★★★ "I found the theory behind the practice mind-blowing and fantastic! The group of people was amazing, and full of connection and empathy." - Ema

Each week you will be deepen into techniques and thought-journeys that can become tools for a lifetime. In a mixture of group discussion, paired exercises and shared discovery you will find ways to expand your mind and heighten your sensitivity. TESTIMONIALS

★★★★★ The glimpses of what I experienced were revelatory. I felt very supported in the fellowship and in the experience and compassion showed by Amir. The Psychedelic society is much needed. Thank you” - Erika

★★★★★ Amir created such a friendly, open atmosphere and guided us to explore lots of fascinating states of mind. He also has a good balance between facilitating but not being too dominant; it felt like a shared journey. Lovely bunch of people and it was also nice seeing the same people every week. Can't wait for further courses like this.” - Alice

★★★★★ It was my first course with The Psychedelic Society and it didn't disappoint. It certainly opened doors to me and I really enjoyed many of the exercises and subjects. The group discussion and Amir's knowledge and leadership of the course was first class. The emails and content sent for each week were great and really insightful, also the social media communication and sharing and the Thursday night follow ups were excellent and appreciated. It's definitely something I would consider repeating in the future, because with all these courses they are easy to forget and require on-going attention.” - Robert

★★★★★ Hugely enjoyed this course. It was the second PS course I'd attended, and the first one that was fully virtual, and I was impressed by how well organised the Zoom sessions were compared with many I've attended in more 'professional' settings (credit is due to Amir for being the only host of such an event who was able to actually use breakout rooms successfully!). The course topics and exercises were fascinating, the delivery was good natured and engaging, and it covered a huge amount of ground in a short space of time.” - Abi

★★★★★ Great, deep stuff. Amir was a great facilitator and the space was peaceful and inclusive. I'll definitely come back” - Rupert

★★★★★ Another stimulating and really well constructed course - thank you Amir! I am so grateful to have come to these practices this way, and to have had the chance to begin learning them amongst and from such lovely and supportive people” - Melanie

★★★★★ This was a beautiful, beautiful event. It was peaceful and liberating, although surely some people might have felt other emotions. I appreciated a lot the fact that aside from nice words and a space, we were actually taught techniques and discussed them. Amir is a wonderful presence. Recommended!” - Giuseppe

An inspiring & beautiful course. Shamil is clearly a polymath. I loved the interweave of science, philosophy and spirituality. I am walking away from this course feeling that I have a stronger grounding in my own spiritual practice & how I want to dance this life.

This was an absolutely amazing course, I cannot recommend it highly enough. The way in which Shamil weaved together aspects of science and meditation is unprecedented and testament to his deep knowledge of both topics. On top of that, he delivered the course with heart and depth, not shying away from difficult topics.

Some personal reflections: It has been quite a journey this past week. Not exactly a new journey, since I have been on some contemplative/philosophical path or other for most of my life (I’m 67), but definitely a new phase. One that has taken me very rapidly out of the umpteenth internal cul-de-sac I had been caught in. Stage one of this new phase was one of awe at the incredible scope and precision of this course and excitement over the prospect of studying the material in depth to at long last gain an overview of the complex subject of “Awakening” and having all remaining questions answered (including the ones I have difficulty formulating). Plus a renewed determination to finally build a steady mediation practice and renew my vows to make ‘looking in - waking up’ once again top priority in my life. However, not quite surprisingly, my at times cruel inner critic (still alive, despite much work on deconstructing) simultaneously jumped at the occasion to remind me how unfruitful my previous attempts have been. And yes, I have come to admit once again that I am not a meditator (in the conventional sense) and that the ambivalence that has always surrounded it for me would not disappear as if by magic (or by merely wishing it to disappear). On top of that a familiar feeling of exasperation began to creep in; concern about embarking once more on a self-improvement project (I am in no way saying that that is what the course is designed to do! It is what I tend to lean towards, fed by a deeply ingrained inner dialogue of wanting/needing to be different from what/how I am, which doesn’t seem to lead to any lasting change.) It made me wonder what had suddenly motivated me (quite urgently in fact) to attend this course, knowing that all the ins and outs of various meditation practices would make up a large part of it. And in the midst of the turmoil that has been stirred up I realise it is actually something quite mysterious that made me jump into it. Something that acts independently of my so-called ‘better knowing’. The ‘better knowing’ that would have told me beforehand that it would be a waste of time and money (a very modest amount I must admit) because, well, you just can’t teach an old dog new tricks (particularly not tricks that have been tried and failed countless times before). But, the good news: during this past week (has it really just been one week since I first attended?) quite a profound shift has taken place in me. A shift form despair at having once again lost touch with a sense of meaning to a sense of wonder and curiosity regarding this unpredictable marvellous unfolding. An unfolding that I don’t seem to be in control of and yet am an active participant in. I find myself spontaneously drawn to explore and create conditions that evoke presence and awareness and that rekindle enchantment and curiosity regarding the Big Questions (who am I - What is going on here - What is the purpose of Life (mine and Life in general)? etc). So although I doubt I will ever be ‘a meditator’, having turned my back on the inner-critic I find I am deeply inspired by this course and will definitely study it again, using it to help me create a portfolio of what works for me (thanks for that very helpful description!). I bow in gratitude to you (Shamil and Amir) and to the mysterious forces at play in the universe and in myself (whoever that is; part of that universe!) Warmest regards, Simone

A relative newbie to this area, I found it an extremely interesting and complete survey of the whole landscape, from the science to practice and philosophy to metaphysics. The space was lovely, as was the ability to do the session IRL. Because so much ground was covered, having access to the slides and playback is essential, so thanks for providing that. Huge thanks to Shamil for condensing his knowledge and insight!

I loved this course - such great content, well illustrated both graphically and with concrete verbal examples. The bringing together of neuroscience and wisdom traditions was fabulous. I wish I could have been there in person or live on zoom but I'm in Australia so timing didn't work. However the recordings were high quality and absorbing. Thank you for bringing this course together. Oh, and the choral music occasionally in the back ground was a special touch from the universe!

A rare, incredible opportunity to hear from a leading voice in the emerging synthesis of science and spirituality

Although, as an online participant, I did not feel as ‘connected’ to the event compared to an all-online or all-physical event, I appreciate the fact that the event offered online access because of the quality of the teacher and the knowledge he transferred.

It was a privilege to be given a chance to go deep into the research , wisdom and insight from years of Shamil Chandaria’s dedication to human flourishing. Thank you, Shamil, your generosity of spirit shines through. Thank you Amir for the foresight to work with Shamil and all the work you put behind it, for creating a community, and for a course executed so brilliantly by everyone involved.

Fabulous course! It's given me lots to think about and practise with. I'm very glad that you were able to find a way to offer the course online - when I first heard about it, it was going to be in-person only, which wouldn't have been practical for me (living in Gloucestershire). For Zoom sessions I suggest having the Host lock down the other participants so they can't unmute - it's too easy for someone to unmute themselves and then make quiet shuffling noises all the way through a session otherwise. Apart from that, audio was really good once the mic placement had been sorted out.
