The Psychedelic Experience of Birth

No matter where you're reading this from, your human experience will have begun with birth. In this instalment of the Semantrix Dialogues, osteopath and doula Joellyn Piercey invites us into precious realms of prenatal consciousness, to explore…

• The pathologizing of 'womanhood' from birth to menopause. (After which, no one really cares what happens to the 'wisdom-keepers');
• How evolving narratives around the medicalisation of birth have the potential to rob women of the superpower of obtaining altered states of consciousness during labour;
