Beltane Sacred Storytelling Ceremony

BELTANE SACRED STORYTELLING CEREMONY

Come gather around the great fire of Beltane, burning bright on May the 1st at Pondfield in Devon for our Storytelling Ceremony and first summer celebration!

We will celebrate together by telling stories, singing songs, engaging in May Day rituals and feasting around the Beltane fire. 

Rituals related to the fire and our personal transformation will be woven throughout the evening to mark and celebrate this transitionary time.

It truly is a time to celebrate together amidst the “greening, and the blossoming, the rising and the opening, the quickening and the humming, the warmings, and the awakenings.” Chris Park (Druid)

ABOUT OUR PERFORMERS

• Hana Wolf and Mike Gilpin - Weaving wildness into song. Folk music from the hearth. Odes to nature celebrating the cycles of the seasons.
• Samantha Rose - Storyteller and Ceremonial Guide, guiding us into a closer relationship with the earth’s cycles through an original story and fire-based rituals.

Parking - Please carpool if possible as parking is limited.

Date – Monday 1st May. 

Time - Please arrive from 6:30 pm so you can settle. We are starting the ceremony PROMPTLY at 7 pm. 

IMPORTANT FOR ARRIVAL - This will be a closed ceremony so once we have started we won't let anyone else enter the space. Give yourself extra time to arrive, to find where it is if you haven't been before.  It will take some time to park, walk in and settle down so please give yourself plenty of time to arrive. We need to respect the energy we are co-creating and the people that come on time so the closed space is necessary.

What to Bring - Warm layers, enough water, a blanket, a mug, a bowl, something comfy to sit on, any treats to sustain you throughout the evening, and finally your wonderful self! A light snack and warm water will be provided during the break with some tea so please bring a mug to use. We will also provide biodegradable cups. 

Bursary Placement - There are a couple of bursary placements so if you need to access one please reach out.
