****************************************************
Calling all helping professionals working with men and those who partner with men! Join our groundbreaking webinar, "Men, Masculinities, and The Internet: 3 Keys to Effective Men's Work in the 21st Century," presented by Cam Fraser and Sarah Martin.
Come along to discover hidden truths, challenge societal norms, explore gender identity's impact, and unravel male sexuality complexities. Together, we'll cover three key considerations for effective men's work in today's world that a surprising number of practitioners miss through presentation, interactive elements, and embodied experiences. After attending this webinar, you'll walk away with insight on how to prepare your practice and yourself as a practitioner to act as a guide during this time of masculine awakening.
Men, Masculinities, and the Internet offers a taster of the themes we cover in-depth during our two day virtual training called The Man SAR. SAR, or sexual attitude reassessment & restructuring, is an exquisite sensitivity training designed to elicit your deeply held values, attitudes, and beliefs through a combination of guest speakers, mixed media, and group process. Unlike classic SAR, which focuses on a wide range of human sexual expression, The Man SAR is a specialty SAR designed to elicit your deeply held beliefs related to men and masculinity as well as to familiarize you with the landscape of social forces at work in the lives of men today, especially online.
The Man SAR is an opportunity to explore what's alive for you as relates to men and masculinities, to discern what you can and cannot hold space for as a practitioner, and to make considered decisions about what you would like to value and practice in relating to men.
The next edition of The Man SAR will take place July 29th - 30th 2023 from 2pm - 10pm UK (9am - 5pm EST) each day. You can learn more about The Man SAR and book your ticket by visiting https://themansar.com/. To receive your Vermillion bonuses, reply to the confirmation email you receive with the word Vermillion and we will grant you access to the two bonus courses.
Please note that the Man SAR includes explicit material.
Important information about diversity, inclusion, and The Man SAR:
We’re beginning this new SAR venture with a focus on cisgender men. Intersectionality is a guiding principle as we develop The Man SAR. Race is addressed as a factor contributing to men’s experiences. We also highlight the Black manosphere and include the voices of several men of color. One of our guest speakers is South Asian and will be sharing about his experiences within online communities and how his race intersects with these experiences. We do not address the experiences of Indigenous men yet, which is a current shortcoming.
In the Man SAR, we don't specifically address and unpack racism as experienced by BIPOC men because we don’t want to speak on behalf of them and because other SARs exist that do so powerfully. For anyone wanting to do a deep dive into the intersection of race and sexual expression, Bianca Laureano's AnteUp SAR is the go-to SAR. Bianca's SARs focus on racial, reproductive, disability, and media justice.
We include trans voices in our SAR media selection, though the focus of our SAR is primarily cisgender men’s experiences with the manosphere. We confront the sexist, misogynistic, anti-LGBTQ, anti-trans world views present in many of these communities. In our media related to pleasure and sexual expression we have the broadest representation. We include men and women of color, trans men, disabled men and non-binary people, MSM, women loving women. We want to expand this media to better represent fat bodies and older bodies, too.
