In this (free!) live workshop, we will explore the big-picture view of a truly embodied spirituality that leads to the kind of deep healing and real transformation that we are looking for (i.e. freedom, peace, love and all that juicy jazz).
What you’ll learn:
- Deepen your own path by discerning what embodied spirituality means for YOU and your life
- Grasp the one key difference between disembodied and embodied spirituality
- Creatively imagine how you can embody this in your life
Spirituality is a slippery goose. There are many traps: it can become an escape in itself, a new site for repeating our trauma patterns, we get lost in spiritual concepts, give our authority away to teachers and teachings, force ourselves through practices that harm us more than help us. In this way, we deny and reject parts of ourselves that need attention.
In my experience, in order to see real transformation, we need to take an embodied approach.
My goal is to help you grasp the one key difference between embodied and disembodied spirituality (and then discern for yourself what this means for you and your life).
This difference is simple. But if you deeply grasp its significance and abide by it in your life, it can have transformative effects through your life!
About Ben:
Hi, I’m Ben. I’m a somatic therapist that helps people to release the mental, emotional and spiritual blocks to greater freedom and authenticity.
The insights in this class come from my own journey from being a numbed-out alcoholic to having deep insights into my True Nature.
And from my deep desire for Truth, which has led me through many thousands of hours of meditation, inquiry, and somatic therapy as well as encounters with psychedelics and plant medicines, and dialogues with countless teachers and guides.
I am deeply and continuously curious about how my mind and body create my experience of the world (and my suffering!). One of the skills I have picked up on the path is a keen sense of discernment, being able to distinguish what works from what doesn’t. This has helped me to pick my way through the different teachers, teachings and practices and discern the principles that lead to real transformation, rather than just keeping our wheels spinning.
I’m a Kiloby Inquiries facilitator (an embodied spirituality modality) and a Senior Practitioner of Embodied Processing (a bottom-up methodology for healing trauma).
