Rave Ritual is somewhere between a shamanic ritual and a fierce rave.

Bridging the worlds of the sacred and the absurd, our dances facilitate brave spaces for you to totally lose your shit, break free of the box, and express yourself with wild abandon.

Allow your inner weirdo to breathe and move as your body wants to, not as you think you should.

We combine clowning witchery and banging beats to induct you into the art of mischief and movement magic. Through an epic set of seductive electronic, you’ll be plucked from the ordinary and transported to a dimension of transcendental triviality.

We celebrate the culture of consent, respect and kindness for each other amidst all the chaos. We are a community of dancers, magicians, and fools who come together to honour life and use the energy we create through movement as a vessel for healing and liberation of the individual and collective.

Practical Info

- Doors open at 7:00pm. No entry after 7:30pm. Please be on time to avoid disappointment.
- Bring a water bottle. Wear something comfortable, and also fabulous if you like.
- Please note that we cannot offer refunds or exchanges. We do welcome swapping or reselling your tickets with people you know.

Things to Note

-This is a sober event. If we suspect you may be on any intoxicants you may be asked to leave.
- This is an adult event for 18+. (Not suitable for children)
- Respect and consent are paramount to our container. Please look after your own boundaries and respect those of others.
- This is a space for freedom of expression and there may be some invitations for the removal of clothing during the event. This is totally optional and in no way expected.

Who are Witch Clown?

Witch Clown is a collective of artists, djs, dancers, and facilitators of transformation. 

Combining theatre games, connection exercises, meditation, intention setting, and damn good music, Witch Clown know how to create intimate spaces for you to really let go and express yourself. 

They are the masters of the silly and the sacred, the profane and the profound. Their aim is to create a community of people who love to dance, connect with each other, and with the transformative power of music.

Witch Clown started in 2020 after a transcendental experience at BOOM festival. They have played in collaboration with The Psychedelic Society, Ecstatic Dance Bristol, Noisily Festival and Headlined Medicine Festival in 2021 and 2023.

Gaia Harvey Jackson

Resident DJ for Ecstatic Dance UK and Ecstatic Dance Bristol. Gaia has over 8 years of experience in holding transformational events, retreats and training programmes in the UK. Gaia joined The Psychedelic Society in 2017, and has been an influential force in its growth and direction over the last 7 years. Most recently she has co-founded her own organisation True Nature.
