THEOBROMINE TRANSMISSIONS // Valentine's Edition: Cacao, Orgasmic Breathwork, Ecstatic Dance, Gong Bath

Join us on this Friday 14th Feb, Valentine's Day for an evening of community and connection, fuelled by theobromine, an active compound found in cacao which contributes to its euphoric and mood boosting effects.

We'll be riding the waves of the Full Moon in Leo from Wednesday, with themes of childlike innocence, joy, and celebration 🌝🦁💛🥳

WHEN: 7pm - 10pm

WHERE: Our intimate Dalston home studio (full address disclosed on ticket purchase)

SCHEDULE:

6.30pm: Doors open.

7pm: We'll open the evening with a cacao ceremony and voice activation to soften our hearts and connect in circle with our intentions 🌹🤎🌺

7.20pm: You'll be guided through an orgasmic breathwork practice that forms a key part of Daoist/Tantric alchemical practice by Lina, co-founder of ĀKĀŚA. Connecting to the potency of our life force energy, we'll transmute stuck energies in the body with sound and a banging playlist ❤️‍🔥 You'll be additionally supported by somatic and energetic dearmouring⚕️This is a profound practice that will help you connect tangibly with the regenerative capacity each of us has for self love.

8pm: Flow with renewed energy in joy, play, and expansion with an Ecstatic Dance DJ set by Maximilian, co-founder of ĀKĀŚA. Stay connected with your own movement as medicine, or connect with others on the dancefloor 💃✨️🕺

8.45pm: Integrate all that has been activated in the evening with a cosmic hour-long gong bath with Philip Avierinos of Ensomble Sounds.

ENSOMBLE is run by Philip Avierinos, a deeply compassionate and skilled musician, specialising in sound therapy. With a classical training in piano and a passion for helping others unlock the healing potential of sound, Philip has spent over two decades performing, studying and teaching music. He has trained under the British Academy of Sound Therapy, Sheila Whittaker from the College of Sound Healing (UK), Yin Xiong (South Africa), and Yogi Mehtab Benton (USA).

9.45pm - 10pm: Closing circle and shares.

We look forward to sharing this evening with you 🥰💞✨️

ĀKĀŚA Ceremonial Cacao

ĀKĀŚA Ceremonial Cacao is grown from ‘Arriba Nacional’, an endangered heirloom strain prized for its exceptionally complex and unique flavour profile. Sourced from a family in Quevedo, Ecuador, our cacao is grown in accordance with traditional agroforestry principles that protect unique biodiversity.

WHY CACAO?

At ĀKĀŚA, we are passionate about co-creating a more joyful,  compassionate, and loving world. To even be able to fathom how such a world could look, we need to be able to slow down, take deeper breaths, and engage with the reality of the present moment.

When our nervous system is on high alert (fight/flight/freeze/ fawn), it's near impossible to dream big or connect deeply.

The stimulating effects of caffeine were pivotal to the success of the Industrial Revolution. Coffee helped to sever our connection to natural cycles and replaced it with clock time; enabling us to work around the clock. We believe that the time is now for the reemergence of an ancient plant ally.

In her pure form, ceremonial cacao can help us slow down, facilitate connection, reset our body’s circadian rhythms, nourish us, and help us dream a more harmonious future together.
