We know screens are addictive by design — hijacking our attention, disrupting our nervous systems, and slowly distancing us from presence, sleep, creativity, and connection. It’s clear that over use of these devices dampens the human spirit.
But what if reducing screen time wasn’t about shame or restriction… but about reclaiming your attention, your joy, and your sense of self?
Introduction to Screen Liberation is a 4-week journey to help you build a healthier relationship with technology — one rooted in conscious choice, soulful enquiry, and sustainable habits. You’ll be supported by two experienced facilitators and a like-minded community, with optional one-to-one coaching to deepen your process.
This is an evolution of the long-running Farewell to Screen Addiction course, now expanded to include technological support and more accountability.

✦ What You’ll Receive
4 x 90-minute live workshops exploring screen habits, nervous system regulation, habit formation, creative reconnection, and soul-path enquiry
Learning materials including recordings, slides, journal prompts & daily habit trackers
An optional accountability buddy and access to gentle community support
Optional 1:1 coaching with Hereward (Screen Liberation Coach) during the course for deeper, tailored guidance and habit support
Optional accountability software for increased motivation, enhanced commitment and progress tracking.
✦ Is This for You?
This course is for you if:
You’ve noticed screen time is draining your energy, focus, or joy.
You’ve tried to cut down but find yourself stuck in the same patterns.
Other parts of your life — creativity, relationships, rest — are being neglected.
You sense there’s something deeper beneath your scrolling: a soul-call, a feeling, or a forgotten part of you
You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to be willing. Together, we’ll build a new relationship with technology — one that honours your wholeness, your boundaries, and your being.

About the facilitators:
My name is Boe Huntress, I have been a facilitator of groups for over ten years. I hold spaces to support others and myself to engage healthily with their emotions and with their soul life. I have personally been on a journey with my own screen addictions and feel in a place where I can support others to do the same.

Hi, I'm Hereward McGillivray, I've been a facilitator and coordinator in various movements, projects and idea spaces focused around climate and technology. I view screen addiction as a significant hindrance to personal and collective sense making and wellbeing. I'm currently starting a coaching practise focusing on supporting people to to radically reduce their technology usage and recover full connection with life.

Boe was a fantastic course leader and put everyone at ease right from the beginning. She had so much useful information on the topic and also inspirational and motivational things to say. I felt heard and accepted in the group and it was so good just to know that other people are going through the same or similar struggles with screen addictions. I have been inspired to make changes in my life around my screen usage and put that down to my participation in this course. I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to wrench back control of their life from the dominance of screens.

This was a hugely insightful and multi-layered course that supported me in both seeing, understanding and reflecting my patterns and habits with mobile phone use as well as bring the learnings into practice and establish new habits.

Boe is a wonderful, kind and experienced facilitator who carefully guided us through 4 weeks of exploitative work around the when, where and why we all use screen time so much. On top of this, I walked away with a lot of really practical tips and techniques, which I was tangibly able to put into practice. 100% recommend.

This course was more than I could have hoped for, wise in its simplicity and something about Boe just had me taking the steps gently and easily. It's a holistic and kind approach to an addiction many of us are challenged by, being able to talk openly with others who felt similarly really helped everything click into place on this journey towards using my phone rather than it using me.

I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is using screens more than their ideal. It can be as life-changing as you want to make it. Boe is an excellent facilitator who has clearly put lots of love and care into the planning. She gives super-helpful tools, suggestions and insights and provides inspiration for where it is possible to get to.
