Cacao & Roots: A Healing Journey Day Retreat
with Melanie Fismer aka Mystic Melā
Join me, Mamma Cacao, and Father Baobab for a magical gathering at The Fringe Studio in Epping.
While our Mamma Cacao is referred to as “The Food of the Gods,” our Father Baobab is known as “The Food of the Angels.” Baobab (Adansonia digitata) and Cocoa (Theobroma cacao) belong to the Malvaceae family of plants. Together, they hold immense power and wisdom. Baobab is a true healer, full of prebiotics, probiotics, minerals, nutrients, and antioxidants. Almost all parts of the baobab tree are edible, including the leaves, fruit pulp, seeds, and roots. Just like our dear Mamma Cacao, who tenderly heals our hearts with her loving spirit and nutritional and physiological benefits, they complement each other beautifully and remind us of the importance of collaboration and cohabitation. I was recently blessed to bask in the glory of the well-known Bains Baobab in Nxai Pan, Botswana. It wasn't my first encounter with the Father Tree, but it was one of my most sacred experiences. I am so excited to share the marriage of these two beautiful plants with you.
Please join me for a one of a kind day retreat.

Your facilitator:
Mela is a passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, dedicated to nurturing their healing journeys and reconnecting them with their inherent wildness. She embraces the transformative power of emotional expression and specialises in sensual and embodied movement as a path to purification and healing. Her offerings also include vibrational sound, shamanic journeying, group rituals, and more.
Mela's personal journey began in the late 1990s at the home of South Africa’s head of the Iyengar Yoga Institute, following her father's life-altering stroke at the young age of 38. This pivotal experience inspired her to travel to India in the mid-2000s for her first training, igniting her natural purpose of guiding others back to their true selves. After numerous trainings and two decades of experience, she has honed her expertise in various modalities that focus on alleviating stress and trauma through Eastern Mind-Body practices. Mela’s unique gift lies in creating safe and welcoming spaces where individuals can explore and express their wildness and authenticity.
