Third Headless Way Weekend Workshop with Richard Lang
September 20–21, 2025 | Washington, DC

We’re thrilled to welcome back longtime Headless Way teacher and friend, Richard Lang, for a third weekend of direct exploration into the heart of who or what we truly are.

After two inspiring gatherings here in the Nation's Capital—our inaugural workshop in the Spring of 2024 and a return visit last Fall—we’re once again excited for another weekend of “Seeing” fun with Richard. Whether you're returning for a refresh or joining us for the first time, you are warmly welcome.

This workshop is a fresh opportunity to dive deeply into the Headless Way—Douglas Harding’s radical, simple, and profound approach to self-inquiry. With Richard's gentle guidance, we’ll explore timeless spiritual questions like “Who am I?” using a series of awareness experiments designed to point directly and experientially to our true nature.

No prior experience is necessary. All that’s needed is curiosity, openness, and a willingness to look. Together, we’ll see for ourselves—clearly and directly—what remains when we look for the one who's looking.

Expect laughter, stillness, insight, and fun, with plenty of time to share and integrate our experiences in a supportive, down-to-earth community setting.

🗣 What Past Participants Are Saying

“The sense of spaciousness, exploration, and loving support of the group was beyond description. I am deeply touched and grateful for this experience, especially the gentleness and playfulness. My wife and son attended with me and as we later discussed our experiences I felt we each immensely enjoyed the weekend and were filled with wonder of what is and what could be.”

“I got a deeply comforting and enlivening sense of experiencing reality free of thoughts, and of the empathy with other human beings. I feel more compassionate, calm, and ready to connect without the layers of expectation, neediness, and judgment that I had become accustomed to before the workshop. Thanks!”

“Richard Lang was like an iron fist in a velvet glove at our two-day workshop in DC! A bold move, Richard asked me to turn my finger back to look at who or what was doing the looking. What I saw was a world like no other, a window from sense to nonsense. Yet, that sense had no senses of its own, because the senses were clearly of the world. A mighty good it does me to have sense so clearly endowed with no senses, and nonsense to have it all! A paradox is saying too much: the great one within was hiding behind the face of a one-year old, my eternal face of wonder. Will you dare to look back? To know and drop the knowing, mere child’s play deftly brought my seeking to an end. Deep bows to Richard and Douglas Harding before him to invite me to such humility. I look forward to discovering more Headless friends who dare to play and dare to love! Let’s build a community here in DC!”
