Dear there,

The other day I found myself sitting beneath a tree bursting with blossom, watching honeybees drift from flower to flower, sipping nectar and pollinating as they went.

And (is it weird to say?) I was kind of turned on by it.

Over the past six months, I’ve been on an intentional journey into sacred sensuality. It’s been full-spectrum: moments of uncontrollable belly laughter, tears and everything in between.

I joked with a friend recently that this path feels like the crack cocaine of personal development — because it’s brought so many unconscious patterns and limiting beliefs to the surface, all asking to be seen and unlearned.

Maybe you're reading this and you've been on a similar path — now or in years past.
Or maybe right now, s*xual energy feels like the last thing you have time or space for.

Wherever you are, know this: there’s no better or worse. Like the seasons, different parts of us bloom at different times. You might be in a winter in one area of your life and full summer in another.

Wherever you are on the wheel — it’s sacred. It’s yours. And you’re not alone.

S*x Drive vs. Sense Drive

Last year, I took part in a course where the topic of s*x drive came up. One participant spoke with frustration about her lack of desire and I remember so clearly how the teacher gently reframed the concept — not as s*x drive, but as sense drive.

That shift landed deeply for me.

How connected are we to our senses?
To the taste of our food, the feel of fabric on our skin, the scent of earth after rain, the sound of birdsong, the warmth of sunlight?

Our capacity for desire often begins with our capacity for sensation.

It’s no wonder we don’t feel particularly s*xy after spending our days glued to screens — laptops, TVs, phones — especially in a culture that glorifies productivity and encourages us to numb out rather than tune in.

A few weeks ago, in our Women’s Fire Sharing Circle, we explored the theme of pleasure

What emerged was both surprising and deeply familiar: the things that brought us the most pleasure were simple, free and mostly involved us slowing down to notice the things we take for granted.

4 Ways to Come Home to Your Senses This Beltane Season

Move Your Body Like She’s Holy

Your body is not a machine to manage — she is a sacred, living temple. One of the simplest ways to reconnect with her is to move for the sheer joy of it. Not to burn calories. Not to “work out.” But to feel.

I recently created two playlists, one for Embodiment & Vitality and the other for Desire & Sensuality, which is a little (maybe a lot) spicier.

Listen to one of these or your own favourite tunes and let the music stir something deep in you. Close your eyes. Let your hips circle slowly. Let your breath guide the rhythm. Bare feet on the floor. Spine uncoiling. Dance as a form of devotion and  a way of saying: I’m here. I’m listening. I’m alive.

Let movement be your love language with yourself.

Let the Earth Awaken You

Beltane is nature at her most lush and alive. She wants to meet you.

Take a moment this week to lay your body on the earth. Feel the grass cradle your back. Let the sun kiss your skin. Walk barefoot across cool soil, moss, or stone. Smell the scent of blossom or rain. Touch tree bark or wildflower petals like they’re sacred — because they are.

The earth is sensuous by nature. She’s not rushing or judging. She’s inviting you to slow down, to soften, to remember that you, too, are part of this wild beauty.

Connect with Fire

Between now and Summer Solstice I have the personal intention of working with the element of fire.

I've been doing this by lighting a T-light candle each morning,  letting the flame remind me of the spark within and  reflecting on what I'm ready to ignite in  my  life. I then dance to some fast paced tribal drum music for at least 5 minutes - while my kids walk past my bedroom and perhaps wonder if other more ‘normal’ mums start their day like this!! :)

Perhaps you feel called to work with the element of fire in your own way — I’d love to hear how it’s showing up for you. If you feel inspired to share, please email me.d

Listen to Your Body’s Whispers

Your body is always speaking — not in shouts, but in soft nudges, tingles, aches, and longings. The Beltane energy invites us to tune in and tend gently.

Place a hand on your heart, your belly, your thighs. Breathe. Ask:
What do you need? What do you desire? What would bring you pleasure right now?

And then — listen. Not to fix. Not to judge. Just to be in relationship with the sacred wisdom within you.

Because that’s what this season is about: remembering that your body is not a problem to solve — she is a landscape to explore.

The Pleasure of the Threshold

There is a kind of pleasure that runs deeper than comfort.
It lives in the belly, in the bones — a soul-deep remembering.
Not the fleeting rush of indulgence, but the raw, wild aliveness that comes from meeting yourself fully.

Either you will
go through this door
or you will not go through
If you go through
there is always the risk
of remembering your name.

Awaken Your Wild Pleasure

Four years ago, I attended this very retreat — and something in me woke up

Not just desire, but feeling. Aliveness. Play. Power. The quiet voice inside that says, “There’s more to you than you’ve let the world see.”

For 8 days, you’ll have space to soften to the parts of you that may have been silenced or numbed. You’ll journey through five feminine archetypes — each offering a doorway back to your wholeness:

🌼 The Maiden reconnects you with innocence, spontaneity, and play. She reminds you how to feel for the fun of it.

🔥 The Warrior anchors you in boundaries and protection. She knows you can’t feel safe in pleasure without first feeling safe in your body.

💋 The Lover invites you into your senses — into the realm of touch, taste, scent, sound, beauty. She asks you to receive.

👑 The Queen holds worthiness and wisdom. She knows pleasure is not indulgent — it’s sacred. And you don’t have to earn it.

🌙 The Priestess brings it all home. She is the bridge between the visible and the unseen. She reminds you that your pleasure is a portal — a sacred thread that connects you to something bigger. Through her, everything becomes ceremony.

Whether you’ve felt disconnected from your sensuality or simply curious to explore yourself more deeply. No masks. No pressure. Just you.

And so today, whether you're dancing in your kitchen, lying under blossom-heavy trees, or simply pausing to feel the warmth of your tea cup, may you find pleasure in the ordinary and the sacred woven into your everyday.

This season is alive with possibility. With beauty. With the quiet invitation to come home to yourself, again and again. Wherever you are on the wheel, whether in a personal spring, summer, autumn or winter, remember that you are not alone.

Your body is wise.

Your pleasure is sacred.

And you are part of this wild, blooming world.

With so much love,
