Hi there,
For centuries, the word witch was a tool of fear - a label used to punish, silence, and erase women whose power, knowledge, and independence threatened the norms of their time. Today, that same word is being reclaimed and reimagined as a source of pride, creativity, and spiritual depth.
Personally, I find being called ‘witchy’ a compliment; shorthand for a woman who trusts her intuition, who connects with nature, and follows the cycles of her own body. It's the friend who knows which tea to brew when you're anxious, the woman who tracks her energy with the moon, the herbalist who knows the magic of mugwort. The witch is no longer designed to warn women against defying patriarchal norms - she's being re-membered as healer, knowledge-keeper, and sovereign woman.
While the princess waits in her tower, the witch emerges as a powerful creative force and bringer of disruptive ideas. She bends the rules, and refuses to apologise for taking up space.
On Sunday 8th March, we’re gathering in London for International Women’s Day: Celebrating Feminine Wisdom, Science & Folklore - an afternoon of talks, stories, and shared ritual that honours this powerful feminine lineage. From African heritage and herbal traditions to cutting-edge science, we’ll explore the many faces of womanhood, reclaiming lost knowledge and making space for the mystery that remains alive in all of us.
Whether you’ve ever felt called by the word witch - or just curious about what that ancient power might mean today - join us to listen, celebrate, and co-create.
