Juliet believes in the power of outdoor education after growing up immersed and enchanted by the woodland surrounding her. This led her to pursue outdoor creative facilitation to share her wonders and knowledge of the mystical wisdom of the land. Her practice is rooted in inclusivity, creative play and nature connection. She’s drawn the ways the arts can restore the earth and create community.
She has just completed an Engaged Ecology MSc at Schumacher where despair for the current climate crisis was transformed into empowered creative action. After spending years on the front line of climate activism she now dreams of supporting young people to find their voice in sustainable, visionary and creationary ways.
Before her MSc she studied art and studied Social Anthropology at Goldsmiths. Since then, Juliet has worked in alternative outdoor education and trained as a Forest School lead working across a variety of settings in Bristol. She has worked as an adventure instructor and bushcraft facilitator with young people facing exclusion and currently works with SEND learners in a Forest School setting.
She deeply connects to the climate anxiety young people face after being a front line activist and wants to help young people suffering with climate despair as she knows the power of finding our personal strengths within the collective. Her work is fueled by a desire to bring together youth through creativity, community and change making through hope, joy and empowerment.
She gained experience facilitating creative youth camps and has trained in hosting listening circles and is due to train in Nature Facilitation with Change in Nature in September. She holds a variety of certificates including; DBS, Safeguarding, Protecting Rights in a Caring Environment, Outdoor Pediatric First Aid and Level 2 Food Hygiene.
