Hi, I' m Laure Marin de la Vallée
I’m a poet, bodyworker, and researcher dedicated to holistic embodiment—a practice that integrates mind, body, and spirit to support well-being and vitality.
I’m the author of Auto-Immune Heresy, a mythopoetic exploration of chronic illness and perpetual healing. This memoir weaves personal narrative, poetry, and essay to reflect on my 20-year journey with chronic immune thrombocytopenia, a rare autoimmune condition.
My work is a testament to my journey toward auto-immune remission and the practices that sustain me. I share resources inspired by my education in Chinese medicine, Contact Improvisation dance, holistic nutrition, and the art of yangsheng (養生)—the “nourishment of life.” These self-cultivation practices have profoundly shaped my approach to living in remission and exploring the intersection of ancient wisdom and modern science.
My work invites you to embrace holistic well-being, from therapeutic movement to mindfulness, and to discover how practices like yangsheng can foster resilience, balance, and vitality. Whether through my writing, individual sessions, or research, I aim to empower you to take an active role in your own healing journey.
Feel free to explore my articles, book a session, or support my work by sharing it. Together, let’s cultivate a fuller, more harmonious life.
