I set up Embracing Grief in 2020 with Bilal & Sarah and we have been running events on a monthly basis ever since. A rich and varied life has exposed me to the teachings of grief from an early age and holding these workshops has been both a humbling and expansive journey for me.
Professionally since 1987 I have been managing director of Einstein’s Octopus Ltd. My company specialises in art direction and set building for the film & music industry. I am used to handling prestige projects, large crews and challenging situations.
I have also travelled extensively (over 60 countries) and found myself exploring many different cultures and belief systems. I am drawn to countries at the sharp end of Western opinion. Relishing time in places like Iran, Yemen and both China and Russia in the early 80’s. I have been published as a travel photographer & writer and made and presented two series for BBC Radio 4 - one about tourism in North Korea, the second about staying with Kazakh Eagle Hunters in Western Mongolia with my son.
I have been part of the 5 Rhythms community for over 25 years, Burning Man for over 20 years and the Conscious Sexuality community for over 10 years. Not afraid to go on external and internal journeys, I like to go to the edge but never go over it.
I live in Hackney with my partners and son.
