What is a Rope Jam and Rope Labbing?

Labbing - To go into practice mode and learn things. So rope labbing is trying stuff out, maybe trying to learn together a tie that has been seen in a picture, deconstructing it to learn how to do it, usually labbing is a peer led activity, the focus is discovery and practice together.

"Jam" is an improvisational style of performance that typically involves multiple musicians coming together, engaging in musical dialogue, and crafting. - So a Rope Jam is much the same, people coming together to tie and be tied.

What is the Space like?

It is a beautiful open space with art work on the walls, plants on the windows, sky lights with natural daylight.

Break out rooms available for those that want a more private area. Kitchen area available to be more social - but keep chat low to not disturb those tying.

About Me:

I discovered the London BDSM scene in 2012 and Shibari/Rope Bondage became a major part of my life in 2013. Since then I've found my style is a mish-mash of influences as I've had the great fortune to do workshops with many international practitioners either as they passed through the UK or as I've travelled. I've performed and taught workshops around the world including Singapore, Estonia, Cyprus, Berlin and across the UK.

Shibari, also known as Japanese Rope Bondage it means 'to tie'. Since my style is not traditional, I prefer to say that I just do rope and both model and tie switching between the two, or sometimes both at the same time.

I love how rope connects people together and most recently found more joy in teaching, making rope less complicated.

The rope I teach is practical and kept as simple as I can make it.
